The 2004 blockbuster movie directed by Alfonso Cuarón is indeed a masterpiece in the wizard’s story as it marks a turning point in Potter’s life. The three central characters Harry, Hermoine, and Ron reach puberty and their respective actors finally begin the understand the role they are playing. The story seems more streamlined and the makers understand how to create movies out of such heavy books.
Listened to the audio book and it’s a great bit of transitional storytelling in the saga. There are heavy, heavy things covered in this installment.

The way Alan Rickman portrays Snape’s anger towards Sirius Black (the person believed to have betrayed the Potters) hits differently when you realize that at this point in time Alan is the only other person besides JK, who knew Snape actually loved Lily.
