Spider-Man actor Tom Holland, along with his girlfriend and actress Zendaya, had stepped out in matching outfits for the launch of his non-alcoholic beer Bero in New York City. Holland and Zendaya have a reputation for stepping out in coordinated outfits and the two never disappoint.

For the launch event, the actress donned Louis Vuitton’s wine-colored skin-tight leather dress that had a plunging neckline and a thigh-high slit. Holland matching Zendaya wore a wine-colored tee, pairing it with black straight-leg pants and white Prada sneakers. But what’s interesting is the fact that Holland became a real-life superhero for the actress, who decided to sign a few autographs after stepping out of the car but was suddenly mobbed by the paparazzi and the fans. A video that has gone viral shows Tom Holland and Zendaya stepping out of the car together and holding hands before Holland walks in front while the actress stays back to sign autographs. In a matter of seconds, the actress is circled by paparazzi and fans, which is when Holland jumps back in to save her. He pushes back the ones blocking her and can be heard saying.

Pull back. Pull back… Get out of the f**king way. Yo, give her some room.

Holland then made his way through her and grabbed her hand as they headed inside. Fans have appreciated Holland’s gesture of saving his girlfriend from a swarm of fans and paparazzi. They mentioned that despite their height difference, with the Euphoria actress being slightly taller than the actor, Holland seemed to be protective about her safety and assured him that she was okay.

The two of them are super private about their relationship, but during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in 2023, Holland shared,

Our relationship is something that we are incredibly protective of and that we want to keep as sacred as possible. We don’t think that we owe it to anyone; it’s our thing, and it has nothing to do with our careers.

Zendaya, on her part, shared during an interview with Elle that just because parts of her life are going to be public, she can’t be the person who lives her life and loves the person she loves. She noted that, however, she does have control over what and how much she shares about her personal life online.

Tom Holland talks about his non-alcoholic beer, Bero

In a conversation with Food & Wine’s Tinfoil Swans podcast, actor Tom Holland opened up about the idea behind BERO. He shared,

I don’t think I realized how big a problem I had when it came to alcohol until I gave it up. It wasn’t easy. I’m so lucky that my friends, who are all big drinkers, were massively supportive of me getting sober, which might be an indication of how much of a problem I had.

Holland opened up about his sobriety in Jay Shetty’s podcast, where he mentioned it wasn’t until he decided to have a dry January in 2022 that he realized that he had a problem. The actor noted in talking to Food & Wine that when he got through to the other side and achieved that first-year marker, he felt like he’d gotten rid of the hooks that alcohol had in him. He added that he felt fantastic.

But at the same time, being a public figure meant he had obligations to attend events and parties where people would drink. Holland mentioned that drinking in the U.K. is like breaking bread, adding that it’s not about quenching thirst, but it’s about living. He further mentioned,

I had to take myself out of situations that I felt would put me in a compromised place. One of the biggest inspirations for Bero was to help people like myself reintegrate into that social environment where they might feel like they’re not necessarily welcome. There’s this new age of craft ales and that sort of stuff—which is fantastic, but I was really into my lagers, and I didn’t want to compete with a Peroni, a Heineken, or a Stella. I didn’t feel like I needed to.

Holland concluded that he felt like this was the market that he could exist in and felt passionate about being sober, promoting a healthier lifestyle, and making a difference. He noted that his first year of sobriety would have been much easier if he had a product like Bero.

It’s launching with three offerings: a crisp Noon Wheat with a citrus-like finish, a bold lager-style Kingston Golden Pils, and a hoppy Edge Hills Hazy IPA. (via berobrewing)
