Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Has Got Industry Insiders Comparing It to MCU Shows

Monarch is turning out to be such a great series that fans are comparing it with franchises as big as the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). This comparison could be stemming from the performance of some of the recent MCU projects which were not quite up to the mark.

MCU has failed to drop something as extraordinary as 2019’s Avengers: Endgame in a long time. Monsterverse, on the other hand, is doing a great job at releasing blockbusters. Even though MCU has a bigger fanbase and has been around for much longer, X was flooded with tweets claiming that the franchise has nothing on Monsterverse. Even Daniel Richtman, one of the industry insiders, went as far as writing: “Monarch is so good puts every MCU show to shame.”

Here is what some other fans had to say:

According to some viewers, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is knocking the ball out of the park with its cohesive narration and amazing plot. They believe it’s doing better than Disney, which has been struggling to do better in television with Star Wars and Marvel as its greatest soldiers.

Why is Monarch a Marvelous Feat For the Fans?

Kurt Russell in Godzilla spin-off series Monarch: Legacy Of Monsters

The series beautifully portrayed two timelines in its run time. In one timeline, the story continued after G-Day 2014, and the second one belonged to Kazakhstan in 1959. Both timelines move smoothly in this series. It was a pleasant experience to see Kurt Russell step into the boots of Lee Shaw.  He is a U.S. Army colonel and former Monarch agent in this TV series, giving it the old red, white, and blue flair.

While fans are concerned about the monsters not getting enough screen time, reviewers believe that has only made the film more ‘grab-you-by-the-collar,’ and engaging. The Monarch series lays the groundwork for the upcoming Monsterverse films. What sets this series apart is that the writing in itself was inspired by the original Godzilla, created by Ishirō Honda in 1954. Hence, the latest iteration is effectively a homage to the king of monster flicks.

It gives fans a trip down memory lane when the screen shares the OG Titans alongside some classic ones. The series played a commendable role by showcasing all the amazing scenes via some mind-blowing VFX.

Fans will always remember the moment when they witnessed the first-ever human kill of a Titan. Keeping them constantly on the edge of their seats, they were bound to be impressed, considering the sheer terror that was apparent in the movie.
