Ray Stevenson’s cause of death is still unclear
On the day of his death, Ray Stevenson was filming. He was on the set of his upcoming project Cassino on Ischia. On Ischia Island, he was taken to the hospital after becoming ill while filming the movie. Unfortunately, even after all the effort, the 58-year-old actor passed away. His cause of death is still not announced by his family or publicist.

Stevesonson’s publicist from the USA confirmed his death but would not provide any other information regarding his tragically quick passing. James Gunn, the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 director, posted a tribute to Stevenson on Twitter. Gunn stated that despite their brief encounter, he had some pleasant memories of the late actor and he also stated that Steveson was a pleasure to work with. Scott Adkins also penned an eulogy for Steveson and explained how shocked he is after he came across the tragic news of Stevenson’s death.
Ray Stevenson started his acting career in the 1990s
Since he began acting in the 1990s, Steveson has acted in more action-oriented films. In the 2004 film King Arthur, he portrayed Dagonet. He was viewed as the round table’s knight. Many more acting opportunities came his way as a result of his role in King Arthur. He appeared in the 2008 Marvel movie Punisher: War Zone as the titular mercenary, aka Frank Castle. His impressive on-screen image led to him working in numerous action movies.
The actor, 58, was born on May 25, 1964. Four days before his birthday, the actor tragically passed away. He has contributed to films like The Book of Eli, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, The Three Musketeers, and Thor, which is a Marvel Studio movie. Steveson discussed his time working on Thor in an interview, saying,
“It was very ho!. They were amazing. Kenneth Branagh is such an amazing director. Doing the first one was such a dream come true. They couldn’t have picked a better director to set it up. Vikings in space. With the scale and the Shakespearian aspect of that whole world … It’s just great to be a part of that Marvel universe.
He further added,
“It’s such a signature body of work now for our generation. It’s influencing so many other movies now, and I’m just delighted to be a part of it.”
In the same interview, Steveson discussed his future acting plans and said he loves the different range of characters he portrays on screen.
