After the release of the second season of Reacher, the lead actor, Alan Ritchson, talks about his experience working in the series. During the ongoing filming of the third season, Ritchson tells Screenrant how it has become easier for the actor to slip into the character after playing the role for quite a long time. He also credits his team for understanding, including Sam Hill, who gets Reacher better than the Fast X actor.

Reacher is based on a series of novels by Lee Child, ‘Jack Reacher.’ The series includes 26 books and a collection of short stories. It covers the adventures of Jack Reacher, a former major from U.S. Army Military Policemen and a wanderer.

Christopher McQuarrie adapted Child’s books for his films, Jack Reacher (2014) and Jack Reacher (2016). The film starred Tom Cruise to play the titular role. In 2022, Amazon Prime Video adapted the novel into a web series, in which the first season was adapted from the author’s 1997 debut book, Killing Floor.

Alan Ritchson talked about stunts he would like to perform in the future season of Reacher. The actor told ScreenRant that he would like to do some motorcycle stunts. Along with that, the Fast X star said that he would also like to do aerial skydiving fight sequences. The actor added, “That would be the icing on the cake for me.”

Since the release of the first season of Reacher, there has been a comparison between Tom Cruise’s film based on the novel and the series. And the viewers were in favour of the Amazon Prime Video series.

According to ScreenRant, Ritchson’s starrer show does justice to the book as it interprets the character accurately as written in Child’s book. One of the differences is that the lead character stands 6’5”, while the Top Gun actor’s height is 5’7”. The Lazer Team star fits the role as he stands 6’2’’, which makes him look better than Cruise.

When Ritchson talked about the motorcycle stunt, he seemed to be referring to what Tom Cruise did in his latest film, Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One (2023). The scene featured Cruise riding a motorcycle and jumping off the cliff before opening a parachute and sailing to safety. (Source: Collider)
