But Richards’ fans were outraged when not a single contestant guessed her identity correctly. The episode aired Wednesday night on Fox. In each round of the show, a mystery celeb’s family member performs while clues about their identity flash on screen. The earlier a correct guess is made, the more money is won. Unfortunately, despite Richards’ daughter Sophia performing on stage, the players whiffed on guessing the Bravo star. Even with clues like a Beverly Hills sign and her nieces Paris and Nicky Hilton.
Were the Clues Too Misleading for Fans?
As per The Messanger, many Kyle Richards fans felt the clues failed to properly represent the reality star’s fame. Especially for contestants more likely to recognize NFL players or rock singers than a Real Housewife.
The splits-doing cartoon women did nod to Richards’ signature party trick. But references to her TV costar Denise Richards and niece Paris Hilton were too obscure for the uninitiated.
Even Richards’ voice singing on stage didn’t seal the deal. Devoted RHOBH viewers know Richards’ voice immediately from her show taglines.
But without more overt Halloween or TV clues, the players drew a blank. The final contestant simply guessed Paris Hilton, who was pictured as a clue.

How Could Kyle Richards Have Been Represented Better on the Show?
According to outraged Kyle Richards fans, a few small changes could have made her much more guessable. Leaning into her Halloween legacy would have helped tap into more mainstream pop culture familiarity.
As the niece of original scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis, Richards has appeared in several Halloween films. Clips from the horror franchise would have hinted at her identity for more contestants.
Quotes from her memorable Real Housewives commentary and footage of her iconic splits could have sealed the deal. More Bravo-centric clues would have gone further than just a Beverly Hills sign.
While the We Are Family clues nodding to Richards’ family were clever, they ultimately did not translate. Fans insist showing Richards in her element as a reality TV diva would have been more effective.
