In a recent appearance on The Louis Theroux Podcast, Little Mix alum Jade Thirlwall revealed that she had a fling with Harry Styles when they auditioned for the U.K. version of The X Factor in 2010. She said,

We went on like one date when we were 16 or something.

The singer stated that while she wasn’t selected that season, the two of them did keep in touch, but the minute One Direction went on live shows, Styles did not text her back. She added that she thought that it was now over; he was gone, and he made it.

The two ran into each other in 2011 when One Direction was invited to perform on the show and Jade Thirlwall was a part of the competition with Little Mix. She recalled that she saw him in the room, and he told her, ‘I’m really sorry that I ignored you.’
