Recently, the Shine Ya Light singer and her husband Taika Waititi shared the details about their wedding almost after almost a year. The couple revealed that their intimate wedding did not take place in France or London as per the speculations. During an interview with the reputed media outlet Vogue, Taika Waititi mentioned-
“She proposed to me, and I said ‘yes’ instantly. It was in L.A. with a small group of friends,”
As Rita Ora added-
“At our home! There were about eight people there—just close friends and family, and parents on Zoom,”
The singer spoke about her bridal attire for her wedding, and mentioned-
“I wore my mum’s pearls that she got married in. My sister Elena put [the bracelet] on my wrist. It was beautiful. My sister walked me down the aisle, and it was just really simple and blissful and calm and private and fun.”
The Jojo Rabbit director revealed that it was an intimate affair with only a few people close to them. He said-
“My daughters were there, and they made everything really fun and easy: I think just because we didn’t have the pressure of having caterers and all of these things, you know, people turning up late, and all of the different moving parts.”
The couple dated for almost a year and a half and got married in August 2022.
