Robert Downey Jr. Takes a Cheeky Dig at Christopher Nolan on Potentially Joining MCU After ‘Oppenheimer’
If there is one A-list Hollywood actor who is known for his playful off-camera personality, it has to be Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr. People who know him are aware that the actor has a natural way with jokes which is evident from all the interviews he has ever been in. Whatever role he might be playing at the time, it hardly ever overshadows Downey’s real personality which seems to be an important factor in his popularity among fans.
His latest project is Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer and as expected the Avengers star could not stop from making a cheeky remark at Nolan’s response to directing an MCU film.
Robert Downey Jr. Takes a Cheeky Dig at Christopher Nolan Directing an MCU Film

During the promotional activities for Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, the director sat for an interview with Wired’s The Web’s Most Searched Questions along with the film’s cast member and the one and only Robert Downey Jr.
When Nolan received a question regarding his thoughts on directing MCU’s The Avengers, he playfully responded that the Iron Man actor would get the most screen time as he worked in Oppenheimer.

Downey as expected was equally playful toward the director. Taking a playful dig at Nolan’s decade-long production period for Inception, the actor said,
“If Christopher Nolan had directed ‘The Avengers,’ we’d still be shooting it”
This undoubtedly made Nolan laugh out loud. Apart from the 10-year-long production period, the Tenet director is also known for the long duration of his films, a perfect example being the recent Oppenheimer which runs for 180 minutes.
A Brief Look at Oppenheimer

The most talked about aspect of Christopher Nolan’s lasted project Oppenheimer is the use of an IMAX camera throughout the whole film. To keep the high-quality resolution Nolan and his team did not make use of any CGI or VFX work for the 10-minute-long atomic bomb explosion.
The film is based on the eponymous physicist Robert J. Oppenheimer played by Cillian Murphy. It captures his life when he was involved in the Manhattan Project and developed the first-ever atomic bomb in the world. The movie has a star-studded cast ensemble with Robert Downey Jr., Florence Pugh, Emily Blunt, etc.
