The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle has started her new journey with her new podcast, Archetypes. Interestingly, within a week the podcast has claimed the No. 1 Podcast position on Spotify’s charts worldwide. The new podcast released earlier this week has become more popular than the globally renowned The Joe Rogan Experience which is hosted by Joe Rogan. The podcast by Joe Rogan has been consistently the most-listened-to podcast on Spotify and some of them are shocked at how Meghan Markle has reached the top spot.
The inaugural episode of Archetypes dethroned The Joe Rogan Experience
The first episode of Meghan Markle’s podcast, Archetypes titled The Misconceptions of Ambition, had 23-time Grand Slam champion, Serena Williams, as a special guest. Just after two days after its debut, the new podcast by The Duchess of Sussex has topped the charts in the United States, Ireland, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom while dethroning The Joe Rogan Experience to number two in the United States.

As the first episode of Archetypes went on to take the first position, many critics believed that Meghan Markle’s podcast is not appealing as compared to Joe Rogan’s podcast. “Rogan is billions and billions of views ahead of her”. As Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly going through a tough time with the Royal Family, The Duchess of Sussex claims the podcast as “my podcast about the labels and tropes that try to hold women back”.

Following the success of the first episode, the new promo released by Spotify shows The Duchess of Sussex saying she hopes listeners to get to know a whole new side of her. In the promo, she is seen saying,
“People should expect the real me in this and probably the me that they’ve never gotten to know certainly not in the past few years. Everything is through the lens of the media as opposed to ‘hey it’s me’ i’m just excited to be myself and talk and be unfiltered. Yeah it’s fun”
Meghan Markle’s podcast, Archetypes is streaming on Spotify and the next episode will feature American singer Mariah Carey. All episodes of Joe Rogan’s podcast, The Rogan Experience can also be streamed on Spotify.
