SUMMARY
  • Deadpool & Wolverine feature a lot of cameos including one from Wesley Snipes' Blade.
  • Ryan Reynolds wants Snipes' Blade to have a send-off that is reminiscent of Wolverine's.
  • Marvel should consider giving Snipes' Blade a moment or two to shine in the upcoming Blade movie.

Ryan Reynolds has done a lot of good things, but most would mutually agree that the best thing he has ever done to date is getting Marvel Studios to make Deadpool & Wolverine. The movie might just be one that will alter the downward trend in the success of Marvel movies and renew fans’ interest in superhero movies.

It has been common knowledge for months that the beloved X-Man Wolverine, portrayed by Hugh Jackman, will save the world alongside Reynolds’ Deadpool. Although many had expected that the movie would feature cameos from other superheroes, viewers could not help but be surprised at the ones that appeared on the screen.

One of these cameos was from Wesley Snipes’ Blade and Reynolds has now openly expressed his desire for Snipes’ superhero character to have a good sendoff. Marvel can do the most hilarious thing by recreating that one Spider-Man: No Way Home scene that people could not stop talking about for months.

It is common knowledge that besides portraying the character, Ryan Reynolds has played a humungous role in Deadpool’s screen adaptations. He has proved that his love and dedication for the Merc with the Mouth is undying even in the face of obstacles.

Whether it be the trial footage leak that led to the first movie getting a green signal or bringing back Hugh Jackman from his retirement as Wolverine, The Proposal star has been the greatest soldier since day one.

If there’s one thing Marvel has been extremely good at, it is keeping things secretive until the movie is out. Deadpool & Wolverine stands no exception as it features numerous extremely surprising cameos which also included one from Wesley Snipes. Recently, in an X post, Reynolds expressed his wish for Blade to have a send-off as good as the one Wolverine got in 2017’s Logan.

Reynolds sure does know how to get an entire fandom to come back from the dead. Not to mention that he has some of the boldest visions that one could ever imagine. So, who knows, maybe he will actually get Marvel to fulfill his wish, and by default, everyone else’s.

Marvel Studios Can Recreate One Iconic Moment to Give Blade a Well-deserved Farewell

Decades before Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark decided to don the Iron Man suit and save the world, Wesley Snipes’ Dhampir swore to fight against the blood-sucking vampires. 1998’s Blade was Marvel’s first successful movie, but Snipes is now going to be replaced by Mahershala Ali in the upcoming movie.

This obviously demands a good send-off to the actor, and Marvel can do that by giving him a cameo in the upcoming film. Just like Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Men appeared in Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, Snipes’ Blade too can appear in the next movie which will have Ali as the lead.

There has been no update on the Blade movie even at SDCC, and it is no secret that the movie has been in developmental hell long enough to make Ali mad. What will happen next remains to be seen, but Marvel might want to consider Reynolds’ demand once since fans would absolutely love it.
