Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 3 Could Redeem the Death of X-Men Character with a Simple Cameo
Ryan Reynolds kickstarted his career as a professional actor with the Canadian soap opera Hillside. He gained greater recognition with his portrayal of Wade Wilson in the 2009 X-Men prequel film X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
2016 turned out to be the year for Ryan Reynolds as he gained unparalleled success with his portrayal of Deadpool in the eponymous movie. A sequel was released in 2018, and another sequel is slated for release next year. The movie is going to be a host for several X-Men characters by the looks of it and is going to include an unexpected debut of a character that had a rather underwhelming death in the first X-Men film.
Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 3 Might Bring Back a Long-dead X-Men Character
Ryan Reynolds starred as Green Lantern in Warner Bros.’ eponymous movie in 2011. While the film did not do too well critically or commercially, it established Reynolds as one of the few actors who has portrayed both MCU and DCU characters. Starring as Deadpool not only catapulted the actor to worldwide recognition but also made him commercially successful.
Deadpool 3 has been one of the most highly anticipated MCU movies for years now. Besides being the first movie of the X-Men franchise since Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox, it is also the only MCU movie slated for 2024, which puts a lot of pressure on it to bridge the gap between X-Men and the Multiverse.

If the recently leaked production photographs are anything to go by, Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine is going to be up against the classic enemy Victor Creed, aka Sabretooth in Deadpool 3. In addition to this, another picture reveals the character Toad, who had a rather ungrateful ending in 2000’s X-Men.

If Toad is truly going to return after more than two decades, it is undoubtedly going to be a nostalgic moment for the fans of the original X: Men movies. Redeeming a character that had a rather infamous death might do some good to the movie even though it is expected to do well as it is.
Ryan Reynolds Urges the Media Outlets to Stop Spoiling Deadpool 3
It is a known fact that the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes pulled the brakes on the development of some of the biggest movies. Deadpool 3 was no exception and this eventually caused the movie’s release date to be pushed to 2024. Ardent Deadpool fans must be aware of the infamous leak of scenes from the original film that happened in 2014.

History seems to be repeating itself as photo leaks happen from the sets of Deadpool 3. However, Ryan Reynolds refused to be silent this time as he took to social media to express his displeasure. He wrote:
“Telephoto lenses continue to spoil surprises and create a difficult situation for everyone. Here’s hoping some of the websites and social channels hold back showing images before they’re ready. The film is built for audience joy — and our highest hope is to protect as much of that magic as possible for the finished film and the big screen.”
Reynolds understands that it is people’ excitemnt that leads to such leaks. However, his statemnt has created a lull in the sharing of these photos on the internet. Hopefully, people will continue to comply with his demand until the movie gets released.
