Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool Co-Star Wants to Join James Gunn’s DCU as Catwoman After MCU Star’s Betrayal

Ryan Reynolds Deadpool franchise gave recognition to Zazie Beetz. The actress rose to fame after starring in Atlanta. She played the ever-lucky Domino in the MCU film. She was also part of Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker. The 32-year-old is set to reprise her role of Sophie Dumond for Joker: Folie a Deux. She even confirmed not returning to Reynolds Deadpool 3.
The Nine Days actress while promoting her episode in the new installment of the Netflix shows Black Mirror, confessed about her dream role. The Deadpool star revealed she wants to be part of James Gunn’s DCU. Beetz already has two superhero movies under her belt but wants to add more. She is reluctant to take on any more similar role. The Atlanta star said, “I can’t be playing too many superhero types of movies!”
Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool co-star has a dream superhero role to play Catwoman. She said,
“She’s just so iconic, and it’s already been done so many times. I don’t know, she’s just cool, and I feel like I am a cat at heart myself.”
The Batman recently included Catwoman, played by Zoe Kravitz. Beetz would be an intriguing candidate to play the role in the future, given what she has demonstrated in Deadpool. With Matt Reeves’ universe exiting James Gunn’s canon, the 32-year-old actress might have a chance to get her dream role as she has refused to be part of Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 3.
Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 3 will not have Zazie Beetz
Since the announcement of Deadpool 3, fans are excited about the superhero film. The third installment of the Deadpool series will take place in the MCU. Some well-known actors, including Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson/Deadpool, will return in the movie. However, Zazie Beetz, who plays the ever-lucky Domino, will not reprise her role for the third film.
The Joker actress, during an interview, revealed, “Well, I’m actually not in Deadpool 3.”
The upcoming film featuring Wolverine will include other X-Men characters, such as Storm, Jean Grey, and Cyclops to the story. Wade Wilson’s (Ryan Reynolds) transformation into the obnoxious anti-hero Deadpool was the major subject of the first two Deadpool (2016) and the follow-up Deadpool 2 (2018) movies. Deadpool ultimately joins the MCU in the upcoming movie when he encounters MCU protagonist Wolverine. Wilson will go across time to heal himself, which will bring the two characters into contact.
Deadpool 3 is slated to release on 7th November 2024.
