Ryan Reynolds May Be the King of Comedy But ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Star Still Gets Mercilessly Trolled By One Person He Cannot Beat
- Blake Lively trolled Ryan Reynolds on Instagram, sharing a video of him and Hugh Jackman at the Waterbomb Festival in Seoul.
- Reynolds and Jackman have been promoting "Deadpool & Wolverine", with Reynolds always trolling Jackman on social media.
- "Deadpool & Wolverine" is causing massive hype, with predictions of a record-breaking opening.
Deadpool & Wolverine is now on the promotional stage, and more and more people are getting excited to watch Reynolds and Jackman together on the big screen. The two are actually close in real life, and their interaction off-camera feels just as playful and fun as the vibe they give on camera.
With his humor and practical jokes, Reynolds has engaged audiences during the movie promotions so far. However, even he could not escape a bit of trolling himself, and it came from someone closest to him.
Blake Lively Takes a Dig at Ryan Reynolds
As Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are going around the world promoting the upcoming MCU movie, someone has been very attentive to their every step, and that person is none other than Reynold’s wife, Blake Lively.
Picture Reynolds saying to his wife that he is going to work. The next thing she catches him doing is what seems to be a party. The same can be said about the video Lively shared on her Instagram story, where Jackman and Reynolds are seen at the 2024 Waterbomb Festival in Seoul, South Korea.
Lively took a dig at her husband’s actions and shared a video of him and Jackman enjoying the festival, saying, “When he tells you he’s going to work and then you see him on MTV Spring Break,” in her Instagram story. The video showed Reynolds and Jackman on stage, having a blast with water guns, spraying the crowd, and getting soaked themselves.
But Lively didn’t stop there. She jokingly suggested a new title for their movie in her story, which she wrote, “Boys Gone Wild: A Deadpool and Wolverine Story.” She even added a GIF that read, “You are in serious trouble,” just to drive the point home.
This water gun fight was a part of the Waterbomb Festival, which is over a month-long event running from July 5 to August 31, 2024. Reynolds and Jackman went there to promote Deadpool & Wolverine, with the movie’s banner and Marvel Studios logo displayed on stage.
The duo was in Shanghai before heading to Seoul. Reynolds also posted some of the photos from their trip on his Instagram, and he addressed his fans and said thank you to China.
Despite the playful complaint, there is a lot of affection between Reynolds and Lively. Reynolds even joked in an interview with People that his friendship with Jackman is similar to his relationship with Lively as they are always rooting for each other’s success.
Ryan Reynolds Can’t Stop Trolling Hugh Jackman
Reynolds, living up to his on-screen reputation, is giving Jackman a hard time with his trolling. Recently, he decided to take a trip down memory lane, but not his own. He posted on Instagram, poking fun at Jackman’s early career for his role as Curly in the musical Oklahoma.
The post was witty, unexpected, and guaranteed to get a reaction, just what fans expect from Reynolds. And it was successful in getting Jackman’s response, as he commented, “Wrong movie. But … thanks, I guess. Are these tears?! What the f*ck is happening?”
Talking about the tour, Jackman has been on the receiving end of lots of shots by Reynolds. Another recent promotional video that came out recently showed Reynolds annoying Jackman in the most hilarious way before running for his life. It is quite expected that this is how their characters might behave in the actual film.
All this hype is causing big expectations for the movie. Deadline predicts it could make over $160 million during its domestic box office opening, which might break Deadpool‘s record for the biggest R-rated opening of all time.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Deadpool 3 has already set records for first-day ticket sales and the most-watched trailer in 24 hours for an R-rated film.
With Reynolds and Jackman’s comedic chemistry, Lively’s expert trolling, and a marketing campaign that is going viral, Deadpool & Wolverine is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated movies of the year.
Deadpool & Wolverine is releasing in theaters on July 26, 2024.
