However, in late 2023, Sean Diddy Combs was the subject of several s**ual misconduct allegations brought in by his long-time partner Cassie Ventura, who filed a lawsuit against him. The multi-million dollar lawsuit was settled out of court, but only for more lawsuits to follow with similar allegations of s**ual misconduct between 1991 and 2003. Sean Diddy Combs arrested after a Grand Jury Indictment
According to various reports, Sean Diddy Combs has been arrested in Manhattan after a grand jury indictment. Diddy’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, shared a statement with Variety confirming the arrest by stating,
We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children, and working to uplift the Black community.
The statement continued that Diddy is an imperfect person, but he is not a criminal, adding that he has been nothing but cooperative with the investigation and voluntarily relocated to New York last week in anticipation of the charges. The attorney urged people to reserve their opinions or judgments until they have all the facts correct. He added that Diddy’s actions are the acts of an innocent man with nothing to hide who now looks forward to clearing his name in court.
The NY Times reports that a person familiar with the prosecution said that they believe that Sean Diddy Combs is being charged with racketeering and s*x trafficking. The music mogul’s legal troubles kept mounting after five more lawsuits were brought in by women alleging s**ual assault and three other s**ual misconduct.
Back in March, Homeland Security raided the properties owned by Combs in Miami and Los Angeles as a part of a s*x trafficking investigation. His attorney, Aaron Dyer, mentioned in a statement that the unprecedented ambush leads to a premature rush to judgment for Diddy, dubbing that it’s nothing more than just a witch hunt. He denied all the allegations and called them sickening, adding that it’s just from people looking for a quick payday.
After his recent arrest in Manhattan, it was not made clear about the charges he is facing, but he is expected to appear at Manhattan Federal Court, where the charges against him will be unsealed. However, it is at the moment unclear how many years of jail time the artist will face if found guilty.

Back in May, CNN posted video footage from 2016 of Diddy attacking his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. The footage matched the allegations brought in by Ventura against Diddy in November last year. The two of them settled the lawsuit outside of court the next day.
However, the music mogul, who had been a hot topic in the town due to his behavior, took to his social media to address the viral video. He mentioned that it’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times of one’s life, but sometimes, one has to. He noted that he was f***ed up, adding that he hit rock bottom but makes no excuse for his behavior in the video.
Diddy described his behavior as inexcusable, adding that he takes full responsibility for the actions shown in the video. He mentioned that his actions are disgusting, and he was himself disgusted by it when he did it, and now he’s watching it. The music icon shared with the public that he has sought professional help and he has been going to therapy and rehab and asking God for his mercy and grace.
He lastly added that he is sorry, but he’s committed to being a better man every day. Sean Diddy Combs clarified that he is not asking for any forgiveness, but he is sorry.
