For the longest time, she was in an on-and-off relationship with Canadian singer Justin Bieber. Months after the couple broke up for once and all in 2018, Bieber got married to model Hailey Baldwin and they welcomed a baby earlier this year.
Gomez, on the other hand, stayed single for five years before she got into a relationship with Benny Blanco. The duo knew each other for quite some time and were friends for a long time before they decided to take their platonic relationship to the next level. Now, Gomez and Blanco are only 1 step further from tying the knot as the actress has recently announced their engagement with a carousel on Instagram. The first picture features a close-up of her engagement ring and another picture of her and Blanco celebrating their engagement with laughs and a hug.
The Only Murders in a Building actress captioned the post, “forever begins now..” while Blanco commented, “hey wait… that’s my wife”. Her best friend Taylor Swift commented that she would be the flower girl referencing the couple’s future wedding. Additionally, Gwyneth Paltrow, Lily Collins, Gordon Ramsay, Cardi B, Jennifer Aniston, Nina Dobrev, Lil Nas X and many others congratulated the couple in the comments.

Wedding bells are on the horizon for the couple now, but they were never that far off to begin with. Over this past year, both Gomez and Blanco said that they could see themselves having a future together. The first to talk about it was the I Found You singer.
During an interview on The Howard Stern Show in May, when the host asked Blanco if he was planning to propose to Gomez. The music producer did not exactly say anything about it, but what he said was just as sweet.

He even went on to call the Wolves singer his best friend alluding to how comfortable they were with each other.

In an interview with TIME in May, Gomez also said something similar about their future together even though she also avoided directly talking about an engagement.
