‘Sexist Pigs’: Brie Larson Fans Unite as The Marvels Becomes Most Disliked MCU Trailer in History
Brie Larson is one of the leading ladies of Marvel superheroes. The end of Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 3 was undoubtedly heartbreaking for fans worldwide. No one liked bidding goodbye to their favorite superheroes. Some of the projects of Phase 4 and Phase 5 even received hatred for this very reason. It seems that the MCU is introducing more female superheroes in their past few projects. The fan community can be a very extreme place. If they can love a character endlessly, they can hate a character too. But sometimes their hatred seems unreasonable.
In the same way, sexism can enter the arena too. Reportedly, there is a percentage of fans who have a problem with the increase in the number of female superheroes.
Is The Marvels Trailer Actually That Bad?
Larson plays the character of Captain Marvel in the MCU. She has appeared in a few projects already and the trailer for her next project was released recently. The Marvels trailer focuses on three female lead superheroes. There is a toxic part of the fan community that is responsible for making it the most disliked MCU trailer in 24 hours on Youtube. Social media platforms are generally used to bring people closer to their favorite shows and movies but in this case, it has become a way for people to display toxicity and sexism.
There is a good percentage of fans that believe that the trailer is really good but the toxic fans have used their sexist hatred to make it the most disliked MCU trailer.
