Shakira Placed a Witch Mannequin in Front of Pique’s Mom’s House Despite Pique’s Mom Was the One Rooting for Them To Get Back Together
Some weeks ago following the release of her new track, Shakira had been blasting the song from her residence in Barcelona. For those who might not know, the singer’s new track BZRP Music session #53 is a diss track against her ex, Gerard Pique, and his new girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti. In addition to her former partner and his new lover, the song lyrics also disses Pique’s family. Unfortunately for the former Spanish center-back, the song proved to be a massive hit and was played repeatedly by Shakira’s fans. Moreover, the Loca singer even put up a mannequin of a witch in all black on her balcony facing her former mother-in-law’s home. Since they live on the same street, it is definitely difficult to avoid each other. Therefore, the mother-in-law (Montserrat Bernabeu), for obvious reasons, wanted the mannequin out of sight.
Gerard Pique’s Mother Got Scared of Shakira’s Mannequin Witch
Back in January, Shakira’s latest hit BZRP Music Session #53 was released. And it proved to be an instant hit among fans. The song is mostly a diss track about her former partner, Gerard Pique, and his new beau, Clara Chia Marti. In addition to them, she also dragged the former footballer’s mother, Montserrat Bernabeu, into her song. Moreover, the Colombian singer had a witch mannequin put up on a broomstick on her terrace. The thing that stood out about the whole thing was that the figure was facing Bernabeu’s residence. It obviously looked a bit ominous and therefore the singer’s former mother-in-law wanted it to be gone. According to journalist Marc Leirado Millan, Pique’s mother even asked one of the singer’s personnel to move the figure in a different direction. However, apparently, the request failed to work.
According to Millan, what spooked Bernabeu about the mannequin was,
“Pique’s mother was worried about an alleged ritual that was done to her with a black witch,”
But regardless of what her ex-mother-in-law felt or requested, Shakira let the witch mannequin remain in its place.
More About Shakira and Gerard Pique’s Relationship
After being together for more than a decade, Shakira and Gerard Pique called it quits in 2022. They share two sons, Sasha and Milan, and have shared custody over them. The two released a joint statement regarding their split out of the blue last year saying,
“We regret to confirm that we are separating,”
Soon after, the former footballer got together with his current girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti. Reportedly, she was employed at Pique’s production company Kosmos. And that is how the two came to know each other. However, there have been reports saying the two started their affair way before the footballer separated from Shakira. After the news broke out, the Rabiosa singer expressed her disappointment with her ex-lover.
