“I was laughed out [of] the studio when I came [with] the Barbie idea in the ’90s [with] the support of the head of Barbie. How far we’ve come. Thank you ladies for your courage and endurance.”

America Ferrera played the character of Gloria, a Mattel employee and a mother who is going through an existential crisis in her life. The 39-year-old actor became the talk of the tinsel town after she was honored with the SeeHer Award during the Critic’s Choice Awards. During her acceptance speech, the actor paid tribute to Greta Gerwig. She thanked her for giving her a chance on her project. She said-

Sharon Stone On Choosing Motherhood Over Hollywood

For any woman choosing motherhood over her successful career is a difficult decision. During an exclusive interview with People in 2023, Sharon Stone spoke about her Hollywood career, motherhood, and her adopted sons.

“I’m grateful that I chose motherhood as a healthy approach to my life and that I didn’t prioritize Hollywood, Because they certainly didn’t prioritize me.”

While talking about her family she said-

“I come from a very broken family. I grew up believing that taking care of everybody else was what I was supposed to do. It took me a long time to understand that I had a life of my own and that I didn’t have to fix it for everybody else, and that it was okay for me to receive care, for me to be enough as a disabled person. I feel proud of myself and proud of my accomplishments — from surviving to helping others survive.”

In 2001, Sharon Stone’s ruptured artery bled into her brain for almost nine days which led to a subarachnoid hemorrhage. Her frail health took a toll on her Hollywood career and Motherhood. While recalling one of the darkest days of her life, she said-

 “I lost everything. I lost all my money. I lost custody of my child. I lost my career. I lost all those things that you feel are your real identity and your life. I never really got most of it back, but I’ve reached a point where I’m okay with it, where I really do recognize that I’m enough.”

The talented actor and author Sharon Stone is a proud mother of her three adopted sons Roan, Laird, and Quinn.
