“She didn’t look comfortable at all”: Dalai Lama Branded a “Creep” For Touching Lady Gaga’s Leg Despite Her Not Approving His Indecent Action
The Dalai Lama is a well-known spiritual leader, popular for his teaching of wisdom, self-discipline, holiness, and compassion. The 87-year-old was recognized as the reincarnation of the previous spirit of the Dalai Lama and at a young age, he was trained in Buddhist philosophy, and his education was derived from the Nalanda tradition. As part of his leadership responsibilities, he became the political and spiritual leader after the invasion of China in 1950. Recently, a respected spiritual leader has come under fire after a video surfaced of him touching Lady Gaga’s leg during a conference in Indiana.
Spiritual Leader, Dalai Lama’s Inappropriate Behavior Toward Lady Gaga
After a video showing the Dalai Lama kissing a young kid and requesting him to suck his tongue went viral on social media, the leader of the Tibetian people has been the subject of a recent controversy that has sparked outrage.
The Buddhist leader has come under criticism for his actions and has been labeled a “predator” by many. The holy father calls the little kid on stage, kisses him on the mouth, and tells him to suck his tongue when the boy only asks for a hug from him.
This incident sparked controversy and backlash so much. While the Yogi team has issued an apology, stating that the Buddhist leader was being playful, many people are still outraged and cannot forgive what the Nobel Peace Prize winner has done.
In light of the incident, an old video of him tickling the 37-year-old during a conference on kindness and compassion held in Indiana in 2016 has resurfaced on the internet.
The two had met to discuss ways to promote kindness and address social issues. The sound quality of the video is poor, but it’s clear that Gaga is uncomfortable with his actions, and she attempts to stop him from touching her leg further.
The incident is interrupted by the conference speaker saying, “If I can get their attention.”
The video shows the holy leader tickling Gaga’s knee stretching out his left hand and with his finger touching her skin, which prompted laughter from the crowd and the singer herself. While some online communities defended the leader, saying that he was just being playful, others criticized his behavior as inappropriate.
The Outrage On Social Media Over Dalai Lama’s Behavior
The His Holiness has been in the spotlight for his controversial actions, including kissing a young boy and requesting him to “suck his tongue,” and touching the pop star inappropriately. While some supporters claim these actions are normal in Tibetan culture, critics argue that such behavior is inappropriate and unacceptable.
Some have expressed disgust and labeled the spiritual leader a “creeper,” while others have pointed to the broader issue of religious leaders feeling entitled and powerful. The leader’s apology made no mention of cultural traditions or nuances, and the backlash against him continues with some predicting more videos to come.

He has figured out that if he does it in the open, that everyone will think he’s just playing around. He’s a pervert.

While some people defend him in the name of culture.
In Tibet tickling is common and considered a nice thing to do. The Dalai Lama then stretches out his hand which is then held to reciprocate the gesture.
I suggest a little more education on Tibetan culture. I’m no expert, but I at least bothered to investigate.

Are you aware in some part of the world touching, teasing and laughing is considered normal. You need to travel and learn more . Whatever you have been taught so far it hasn’t have to be that way . Every culture and country is different . Men holding hands is normal in some .

And some compared His Holiness to politicians
So he’s like Biden

It is worth noting that the Tibetan leader’s own statement did not refer to cultural traditions or nuances, and simply apologized for his actions. It remains to be seen how supporters and critics will respond to these ongoing controversies.
