Sandra Bullock’s long-time beau Bryan Randall tragically passes away
It was reported on August 7th, 2023 that the model-turned-photographer, Bryan Randall, who had been with Sandra Bullock since 2015 had passed away after a private battle with ALS. The family confirmed the news by sharing a statement,
“It is with great sadness that we share that on Aug. 5, Bryan Randall passed away peacefully after a three-year battle with ALS. Bryan chose early to keep his journey with ALS private and those of us who cared for him did our best to honor his request.”
The statement continued,
“We are immensely grateful to the tireless doctors who navigated the landscape of this illness with us and to the astounding nurses who became our roommates, often sacrificing their own families to be with ours. At this time, we ask for privacy to grieve and to come to terms with the impossibility of saying goodbye to Bryan.”
Bryan Randall was 57 years old when he passed away and was battling with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS, which is a nervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.
Sandra Bullock calls Bryan Randall a ‘great example’ for the kids
Actress Sandra Bullock and long-time partner Bryan Randall met for the first time in 2015 when he was hired to capture her son Louis’ birthday party in 2015. The duo could feel the instant sparks which led them to start dating quietly, before making their red carpet debut at the premiere of her movie Our Brand Is Crisis.
Even though the actress and the photographer had kept their romance away from the public eye, back in 2018, during an interview with InStyle Magazine, Bullock gushed about how the kids love Randall; “He’s super kind. For the kids, he’s sort of No. 1, and I’m No. 2. But I get it because he’s more fun and has better treats.”
During an appearance on Red Table Talk, Bullock mentioned that she had found the love of her life, noting that they share two children along with Randall’s older daughter from his previous relationship, adding that it’s been the best thing ever. She added,
“He’s the example that I would want my children to have. I don’t always agree with him, and he doesn’t always agree with me. But he is an example even when I don’t agree with him.”
Sandra Bullock talks about marriage with Bryan Randall
In the same episode of Red Table Talk, the actress who was previously married to Jesse James shared that she was not in a hurry to get married to Randall, explaining that,
“I don’t want to say do it like I do it but I don’t need a paper to be a devoted partner, a devoted mother. I don’t need to be told to be ever-present in the hardest of times. I don’t need to be told to weather a storm with a good man.”
The actress always appreciated the photographer for raising the kids together, even after being together for a short time. During an interview she explained,
“He was so happy, but he was scared. I’m a bulldozer. My life was already on the track, and here’s this beautiful human being who doesn’t want anything to do with my life but the right human being to be there.”
A fan took to their social media to share a couple of pictures of the couple and mentioned,
“So when Sandra Bullock said she found the love of her life, she didn’t need a legal paper to make them official and that Bryan Randall was a great example for her kids on Red Table Talk in 2021, he had already been sick.”
The user added that if this is not love, they don’t know what is.
It was recently rumored that maybe the couple had called it quits as they had not been seen together in public for a while, but nothing was confirmed and the news of him passing away maybe indicates their fewer public outings. Sandra Bullock is yet to comment on her beau’s passing.
