But despite the rumors, one thing he never did was blame her for his condition. And recently he opened up about it in an interview where he discussed many other aspects of his life. The actor also opened up about his upcoming projects and why he would not be working on a Batman project anymore. Moreover, Affleck also gushed about his wife Jennifer Lopez with whom he recently bought a million-dollar mansion in LA.
Ben Affleck Reveals He Never Blamed Jennifer Garner for His Alcoholism Issues
There is no lack of headline-making events in Ben Affleck’s life since he began his journey in Hollywood. He is one of the most successful actors out there but he has his issues. The Argo actor has suffered from alcoholism for a great part of his life. And it eventually came in between his relationship with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner. They ended up getting a divorce after a decade-long marriage. And amid all the Grammy memes about him floating around the internet, he sat for an interview recently. While talking with The Hollywood Reporter, Affleck shared and opened up about a lot of stuff related to his life and career.
When asked about the popular idea that he somehow blamed Garner for his alcoholism issue. The Batman actor denied it saying his words were molded by The New York Post for click bait purposes. And then the actor further cleared that he had never blamed Garner in any way for his issue. But amid all this, Affleck revealed that his wife Jennifer Lopez had his back. The actor said,
“And she loves me. She’s looking out for me. She’s trying to help me.”
Things might have ended badly with Garner, but nowadays it seems Affleck is more considerate of his partner and her effort.
Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck’s Relationship
The two met each other while working on their 2002 movie Daredevil. With romance brewing between them, the pair tied the knot in 2005. And throughout their marriage, they had three children. But Affleck’s alcoholism soon started to show its problems. Garner even had to decide to call an intervention to help her ex-husband at the time. But they eventually decided to separate in 2015 after a decade-long relationship. The ex-couple are still on amicable terms with each other and are co-parenting their three children.
