“She ruined my life”: Kim Kardashian’s Ex Business Partner Who Developed Her ‘Kimoji’ App With Supposedly $1M a Minute Revenue Now Homeless, Lives Out of His Car
Kim Kardashian was accused by her former business partner of stealing his idea. Not just this, she is also accused of depriving someone of their rights. Recently, a video went viral on Tik Tok where a man was seen walking in the streets, holding a placard that read, “Kim Kardashian ruined my life.com.”
The man is Kim Kardashian’s ex-business partner, David Liebensohn, who claimed that working with the Kadarshian star left him financially ruined, and now he has to live in his car.
Why is Kim Kardashian being accused?
Kim Kadarshian is one of the wealthiest celebrities in the world, with a net worth of $1.8 billion. Yet the socialite was accused by a man because she refused to pay him his share of the money. The Kadarshian star and her former business partner David Liebensohn collaborated to develop the lucrative Kardashian-themed emoji app called, Kimoji. The app soon garnered attention, which resulted in thousands of downloads in a second. With its record-breaking success, the app generated $1 million in a minute.
Even after the massive success of the app, Liebensohn received not a cent for his work. In a Tik Tok video, Liebensohn was seen protesting against it. He was seen walking around the street holding a placard, on which he bluntly accused Kardashian. The cardboard sign read, “Kim Kardashian ruined my life.com.” Liebensohn stated the reason for opting this way:
“I thought people might want to know about this story; what have I got to lose right now by telling it?”
Liebensohn didn’t stop there; he sued the reality star for $300 million. The incident took place in 2019 when he claimed that Kardashian stole his idea and gave no credit to him. As per the reports of the outlet,
“he lost his home, his $2 million business, and his family; he now lives in his 2011 Toyota Prius to save on rent and showers in the gym.”
Liebensohn reflected on his suffering following the incident, saying,
“I’m literally sleeping in my car. I might as well put all this in a story that people can maybe make some sense out of and see what happens. I lost my wife; my kids blamed me; they had a rough time at school; they were teenagers at the time and idolized that family—Kim and her sisters—then this happened, and it destroyed us.”
Liebensohn has blamed Kim Kardashian for his downgraded condition.
What is Kim Kardashian’s reaction to all these allegations?
Kim Kardashian’s team has a different story to share regarding this incident. Kardashian’s team allegedly said that Kardashian’s former business partner voluntarily gave up all the rights to the app. Hence, ultimately, the ‘unfettered’ ownership of the Kimoji app was passed to the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star.
According to a close source close to Kardashian, Liebensohn’s claims were rejected by an arbitrator and an LA Superior Court judge in 2020.
