After his split from Cynthia Scurtis in 2008, former baseball star Alex Rodriguez dated Cameron Diaz for a year. The two started dating in 2010 but very soon decided that their careers are their priority and decided to end their relationship in 2011. One year later, in 2012, the former athlete talked about Cameron Diaz in an interview with The Insider. He said,
“I don’t like talking about my relationships, but I will tell you about CD: She’s probably one of the greatest human beings I’ve ever met, and just an amazing light.”
Before dating the actress, the former athlete was in a relationship with big celebrities like Madonna, Bethenny Frankel, and Kate Hudson.
A-Rod said the same thing about Jennifer Lopez after their split
A few years down the line, Alex Rodriguez started dating singer Jennifer Lopez. The two dated between 2017-2021. They got engaged in March 2019. However, two years later, in April 2021, they decided to end their relationship claiming that they are “better off as friends.” After the split, Alex Rodriguez said something similar to what he said about Cameron Diaz. He said,
“Look, we had a great time. Here’s what I will tell you about Jennifer. She’s the most talented human being I’ve ever been around.”
At the time, sources claimed that the two broke up because the athlete was caught cheating on the singer with her friend, model Madison LeCroy.
Alex Rodriguez is now looking after his ventures
A-Rod retired from the sport in 2016 and started looking after his businesses. The former athlete has been candid in the past about his investing strategies. He also reportedly helped Jennifer Lopez in investing a lot of her money into real estate.
