It’s happening! With a behind-the-scenes (BTS) film released on Monday, Netflix revealed that work on the second season of One Piece has started. Uploaded on YouTube, a brand-new One Piece video has been released by Netflix, showcasing the main cast—Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero Gibson, and Taz Skyler—as they officially begin filming the highly anticipated show’s next installment in South Africa.
The beloved characters Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji are played by Godoy, Mackenyu, Rudd, Gibson, and Skyler, respectively. Much as in the manga and anime, Tony Tony Chopper is anticipated to become the official ship doctor for the crew, and in Season 2, the Straw Hats will be adding him to their roster. However, fans can’t help but notice that one character is missing from the crew.
The Actor Who Will Play The Role Of Nico Robin Is Still Missing And Fans Are Getting Agitated
Nico Robin is one of the most well-liked characters from One Piece, and if the character is handled effectively in the live-action version, that popularity will no doubt continue. However, Nico Robin’s casting has not been disclosed yet, which is making the fans agitated.
Netflix has only officially renewed One Piece for season 2, but given how successful the first season was for the streaming platform, it can be said confidently that the show will continue for a few more years. Since her debut in season 2, Nico Robin has remained one of the most significant characters in One Piece.

Following the release of the BTS film that revealed One Piece has officially commenced shooting for season 2, fans took to X to express their excitement and delight at having all the cast members together in one place.
Netflix Welcomes New Members for One Piece Season 2
As One Piece live-action announces the beginning of filming, fans have noticed that a certain dark-haired female is still missing from the crew. The series recently cast four villains: Daniel Lasker as Mr. 9, Camrus Johnson as Mr. 5, Jazzara Jaslyn as Miss Valentine, and David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3.
Additional new cast members include Brendan Sean Murray as Brogy, Callum Kerr as Smoker, Clive Russell as Crocus, Julia Rehwald as Tashigi, Rob Colletti as Wapol, Ty Keogh as Dalton, and Werner Coetser as Dorry.
As of right now, Netflix has not disclosed the formal castings for the well-known characters Ace, Crocodile, Nico Robin, Princess Vivi, Tony Tony Chopper, and Dr. Kureha.
