Uploaded on YouTube, a brand-new One Piece video has been released by Netflix, showcasing the main cast—Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero Gibson, and Taz Skyler—as they officially begin filming the highly anticipated show’s next installment in South Africa.

The beloved characters Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji are played by Godoy, Mackenyu, Rudd, Gibson, and Skyler, respectively. Much as in the manga and anime, Tony Tony Chopper is anticipated to become the official ship doctor for the crew, and in Season 2, the Straw Hats will be adding him to their roster. However, fans can’t help but notice that one character is missing from the crew.

Netflix has only officially renewed One Piece for season 2, but given how successful the first season was for the streaming platform, it can be said confidently that the show will continue for a few more years. As One Piece live-action announces the beginning of filming, fans have noticed that a certain dark-haired female is still missing from the crew. The series recently cast four villains: Daniel Lasker as Mr. 9, Camrus Johnson as Mr. 5, Jazzara Jaslyn as Miss Valentine, and David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3.

Additional new cast members include Brendan Sean Murray as Brogy, Callum Kerr as Smoker, Clive Russell as Crocus, Julia Rehwald as Tashigi, Rob Colletti as Wapol, Ty Keogh as Dalton, and Werner Coetser as Dorry.

As of right now, Netflix has not disclosed the formal castings for the well-known characters Ace, Crocodile, Nico Robin, Princess Vivi, Tony Tony Chopper, and Dr. Kureha.
