Where did Episode 9 leave off?

Episode 9, titled It Was All Worth It, saw Sung Jinwoo curing his mother’s Eternal Slumber by using the Elixir of Life that he had crafted after defeating Baran, the Demon Monarch. After that heartwarming moment, the episode shifts to a meeting between Chairman Go Gunhee and Sung Jinwoo, where the Chairman invites Jinwoo to participate in the Jeju Island Raid that is being organized jointly by both Japan and Korea.

Just as Jinwoo is about to make up his mind about the raid, the intense magical aura of all the S-Class hunters, who stand at the peak of the Hunter hierarchy, distracts him. It is then revealed that all the S-Class Hunters, including the ones from Japan, have gathered at the Hunter’s Association to train for the raid.

Season 2 Episode 10: Spoilers and What to Expect

Caution: Spoilers for Solo Leveling Episode 10 and Manga

Solo Leveling‘s Season 2 Episode 10, titled We Need A Hero, will start off where Episode 9 ended, with the friendly training match between the Japanese and Korean Hunters. As seen in Chapter 92 of the manhwa, the match would eventually put the Korean Hunters at a disadvantage, with only White Tiger Guild’s Baek Yoonho, and Hunters Guild’s Cha Hae-In left standing against the rest of the Japanese Hunters.

Sung Jinwoo would eventually need to interfere to protect Cha Hae-In from a ferocious attack, which in turn leads to him fighting Goto Ryuji, the Guild Master of the Draw Sword Guild.

This fight between the two S-Rankers, and the subsequent reactions of the other hunters, have both been hinted at by the preview images that have been posted by an X User “@SoloLevelAnime”.

From the above post on X, it is quite evident that while the fight between Jinwoo and Ryuji with both the S-Rankers testing each other’s power, the subsequent scenes will have a shocking effect on the others present there. Fans of the manhwa definitely know that the anime-only fans are in for.

Overall, we can expect to see an intensely choreographed combat sequence between Sung Jinwoo and Goto Ryuji, which is sure to be exhilarating and one that will cement Jinwoo’s status as a Hunter who cannot stop leveling.
