VFX: The Trouble for Disney
Industrial Lights and magical special effects have been the major backbone of Disney and its franchises like Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, and others. While the studio has amazed fans over the years with the use of this technology, its recent movies have been criticized for the same.
The year 2023 has been proven very disappointing for the firm at the box office as many high-budget movies like Ant-Man 3, The Flash, and other has not lived up to Disney standards. While many movies gained commercial success it has not satisfied the fans.
In the wake of box office disappointment, many fans and critics have blamed the heavy use of VFX by the studio in its recent release. Fans blame the heavy use of VFX in many recent movies like Doctor Strange 2, Thor Love and Thunder, Ant-Man 3, and Secret Invasion has made the movies feel weightless and floaty leading to lose emotional stakes of the fans’ engagement with the movie.
