“Sorry Harry, it’s my team’s mistake”: Bad Bunny Apologizes to Harry Styles After Insulting Tweet About Him at Coachella
Bad Bunny has achieved a lot in a short duration of time. From giving a stellar performance in Marvel’s Latino live-action film to creating a buzz at the Grammys with Un Verano Sin Ti, the Puerto Rican rapper has had a marvelous 2022. Bunny, even though proud of his Latin trap and reggaeton music style, got into some trouble because of his team. As a result, he had to issue an apology to Harry Styles after the rapper’s fans dissed the British artist’s tracks.
Bad Bunny Can Do Harry Styles’ Music, But Not Vice Versa
Coachella, one of the most famous music festivals in the world, officially wrapped up on Sunday, April 23. While fans immersed themselves in a never-before experience in the presence of international artists like Frank Ocean, Calvin Harris, and Bad Bunny, the summer fest was hit with a bit of a controversy after Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, got into trouble after his fans trolled Harry Styles.
The 29-year-old Puerto Rican rapper was one of the many artists who thrilled his fans as he set the Coachella stage on fire. During his first concert at the music festival, a tweet appeared to diss the three-time-Grammy winning artist, Harry Styles. The tweet ignited an online battle between the fans from the two sides.
As fans continued to praise Bunny for his music, one comment read, “Benito can do ‘As It Was’ but Harry Styles can never do ‘El Apagon'”, comparing Styles’ tracks to those of the I Like It artist. This ignited all sorts of reactions from the English pop singer’s fans.
Bad Bunny Is ‘Original’ With Apologies
Following the fiasco, Bad Bunny decided to resolve the matter in the same way it was provoked. He directed a tweet at Harry Styles during the second week of Coachella, making a public apology for a mistake he didn’t commit. The Puerto Rican rapper once again set the souls of his fans on fire during the second week of the festival.

As he took to the Coachella stage, the on-screen message read: “Sorry Harry. It was my team’s mistake. We love you.” Well, the artist is certainly a perfect blend of humble and talented. Being the bigger man, Bunny didn’t hesitate to extend an apology on behalf of his team, for a mistake that he certainly didn’t make. Now, his fans want him to take back his apology, calling him “bigger than Harry Styles”.
Sturdy.co, the visual content company that designed Bad Bunny’s Coachella set art, has since then taken responsibility for erring in a statement against Harry Styles. As for Bad Bunny, the Puerto Rican rapper has been taking things easy. In December 2022, he announced that he’d be taking a break in 2023 to focus on his emotional health and enjoy his achievements.
