For a long time, there have been discussions surrounding a fourth installment in the Sam Raim-directed Spider-Man film series starring Tobey Mcguire as the titular hero. Although it has been one and a half decades since the last part came out, the talk is still as alive as before. The director has also mentioned his will to work with his Spider-Man cast.
Moreover, Thomas Haden Church who played the role of Sandman/Flint Marko has recently revealed his desire to reprise his role in another of Raimi’s Spider-Man film series.
Thomas Haden Church Talks About Rumors of a Possible Sam Raimi-directed Spider-Man 4
It seems that Sam Raimi who played the role of Sandman in two different Spider-Man film versions of the MCU is more than ready to be a part of the rumored Spider-Man 4 directed by Sam Raimi. The film which stars Tobey Mcguire as Peter Parker had its third installment released back in 2007.
Although two different versions of the Spider-Man film series have been out one with Andrew Garfield and the other with Tom Holland keeping the multiverse in view anything is possible.
And for a while, a possible sequel of the Sam Raimi-directed Spider-Man 3 has been up in the albeit without any confirmation. Discussing this, Church (Sandman) recently opened up with ComicBook.com saying,
“if that happens, I would probably campaign to maybe at least do a cameo,”
He mentioned hearing about the rumors but did not confirm anything about a Spider-Man 4 in the future. As for now, the actor is gearing up for his upcoming Peacock show Twisted Metal.

What Does Sam Raimi Have to Say About Another Spider-Man Installment?
Even though it’s been more than a decade since Spider-Man 3 was released, there still seems to be a possibility for a 4th one. Raimi has expressed his desire to collab once again with Tobey Mcguire and Kirsten Dunst who played the leading roles in the film series. Talking about it the director opened up about it saying,
“don’t know if Marvel would be interested in that right now. I don’t know what their thoughts are about that”
Moreover after directing last year’s Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness, Raimi seems to be more convinced that anything could be possible in the MCU world. So there’s still hope that the film might get a green light in the future.
