Spider-Man Actor Tom Holland’s Favorite Sports Team Helped Him Endure Soul-Crushing Reviews of Latest TV Series
After working on his MCU project, Tom Holland ventured into a TV series on Apple TV+ called The Crowded Room. Unfortunately, the show which was released a few weeks ago on the platform, could not impress the critics much. And as such, the show mostly received bad reviews after the episodes got out, but Holland seems to be handling such disappointing viewer responses with grace.
He opened up about how he was feeling about the whole thing and even mentioned the thing that kept him motivated despite the badly received performance of his latest series.
Tom Holland Compared Supporting Tottenham Team to Dealing with the His Flop Series
Much to Tom Holland’s disappointment his latest Apple TV+ series The Crowded Room could not win the heart of the critics. With mostly negative reviews, Holland undoubtedly felt bad after reading all of them. But the Spider-Man: Homecoming star recently opened up about how he is handling the situation. Despite all the bad reviews around the show, he still managed to promote it.
And surprisingly it has all to do with him supporting England’s Tottenham Soccer team. The team has never once won the Premier League and to keep on supporting the team despite all of it, Holland shared that it had built ‘resilience’ in him as a consequence. Talking with Unilad he said,
“I think being a Tottenham fan is somewhat like being in ‘The Crowded Room.’ It has taught me resilience,”
Furthermore, the Avengers: Endgame star also addressed the rumors that his year off had been due to the series being a flop. But according to the actor, he is already eight months into his year off.
This means that Holland started his break way before the series got released. Throughout those months, the actor shared that he has been chilling at home, going to grand prices, and playing golf.

Tom Holland’s latest project, The Crowded Room a based on a non-fiction book titled The Minds of Billy Milligan by Daniel Keyes. The show is created by Akiva Goldsman and premiered on the 9th of June. It is a psychological thriller revolving around a man who gets arrested for a shocking crime. A very unlikely investigator takes on the responsibility of finding out the true criminal behind the crime.
