And one such reveal has led to earth-shattering consequences for a major character. Lady Qi’ra, who first debuted in Solo: A Star Wars Story, has a secret she has been hiding from all of us. Despite appearances, Star Wars just revealed the woman is insanely powerful. She is indeed so strong she has gone up against the likes of Darth Vader in a duel and come out unscathed.

As the War of the Bounty Hunters crossover arc rages on, the galaxy has been witness to the duel between Darth Vader and Lady Qi’ra. Her skill levels are nothing to be taken lightly. the readers and the Rebel forces have been forced to acknowledge just how deadly a fighter she actually is.
The arc saw Qi’ra joining forces with Darth Maul and his Crimson Dawn organization. Ever since, fans have been speculating how good a fighter Qi’ra actually is. Most of her bidding is being done by the skilled assassin Deathstick. Qi’ra has only been watching everything from the shadows. In Solo: A Star Wars Story, Qi’ra did prove she is adept in close quarter combat. Given the substantial passage of time by the time War of the Bounty Hunters hit, people believed her skills have only blossomed even more. Qi’ra did have dark Side training, as Darth Vader had earlier noted she was Force sensitive. But in War of the Bounty Hunters #4, we realize there’s more to Qi’ra than what meets the eye.
Lando Calrissian Acknowledges Qi’ra’s Abilities As A Fighter
While conversing with Chewbacca and Princess Leia, Lando Calrissian recalled Qira’s duel, calling her “one of the best hand-to-hand fighters” he had ever seen. Qi’ra has had many encounters with several deadly warriors all across the galaxy. But Lando’s words help us get a unique perspective. Despite being a well-trained fighter, she could only hold her own for a short time against Darth Vader before he nearly killed her. Qi’ra, contrary to what fans believe because of her force sensitivity, does not use force powers in her fighting style.
The Sith realized the form of martial arts she uses was called Teras Kasi. It allows a Teras Kasi user to beat a Jedi or a Sith using overwhelming physical force alone. Fans who were expecting Qi’ra to use the Force would be sorely disappointed.
What Other Aces Does Qi’ra Have Up Her Sleeve?
After the events of Solo: A Star Wars Story, Qi’ra’s questionable allegiance has been brought to attention. She bested Darth Maul in combat and took control of Crimson Dawn. But to what end? Qi’ra is so hell-bent on hiding her true mature from everyone that fans claim there could be even bigger surprises in store. She is still not using her Force powers but it seems like she is choosing not to. When surrounded by enemies, Qi’ra’s keeping her cards close to her chest. Maybe in the upcoming miniseries Crimson Reign, we will finally see all of Qi’ra’s powers in all their glory.
