Star wars: Top 10 clones that shaped the Star wars history
When we talk about Star Wars, clones are one of those things that come to our minds. After all, they had a major role in the Star Wars Franchise and even had an animated series, the clone wars, and Attack of the clones movie dedicated to them. Directly or indirectly clones have made an appearance here and there whether it was the movies or the animated series.
1. Obi- wan Kenobi’s most trusted Commander
The CC-2224, also nicknamed “Cody” was one of the most trusted clones of Jedi master Obi-Wan Kenobi. Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi respected and trusted him without any Jedi foresight. Cody commanded the whole 212th attack battalion in the absence of Obi-Wan Kenobi and was also the commander of the third systems army, 7th sky corps, and ghost company. he was also somewhat responsible for the training of the next generation of imperial soldiers.
2. Luke has a clone named “LUUKE”
This might be unexpected but Luke skywalker has a clone of himself. Luuke Skywalker was a genetic clone of luke skywalker grown from the cells of his hands, he lost during the fight with Dark Lord Darth Vader on Cloud City. later, his hand and lightsaber were recovered by Darth Vader himself. The clone was grown in a spaarti cloning cylinder in less than a month. When completed he was given Jedi training by C’boath. Moreover, this character was more addressed in the memes than in the movie itself.
3. Boba Fett- the Bounty hunter
Talking about clones and not mentioning boba fett is impossible, after all, he’s the most famous clone in the star wars franchise. He’s the son of Jango Fett, Boba Fett is just like his father, is a bounty hunter. He has traveled vast deep space in his lifetime career as a bounty hunter. the Mandalorian armor that he inherited from his father as a legacy is really famous and an iconic piece in the Star Wars franchise.
4. Thrawn- The General Admiral
Mitth’raw’nurodo or simply named Thrawn was an officer of the Chriss ascendancy and grand admiral in the imperial navy during the age of the genetic empire. He fought against classic star wars characters like Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia Han Solo, and Chewbacca but ultimately lost during his time. He was resurrected in the Hand of Thrawn duology and more of his backstory was uncovered in the various novels, short stories, series and video games related to the star wars expanded universe.
5. Jedi killer Voxyns
The Voxyns were a genetic cross between a feel xyn and a vornskr and they are deadly predators who were used to kill the Jedis. they were developed by the sentient Yuuzhan bong species and were highly force-sensitive, i.e. they could sense Jedis from a distance. being a ferocious predator that was designed for killing, they were a perfect killing machine against Jedis. with the abilities like sonic blasts and flesh melting acid, disease coated claws, and a poisonous tail they were really hard to fight against.
6. Snoke- the Supreme leader
Snoke made his first appearance in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. He was a supreme leader of the first order and was Kylo Ren’s master. Later it was revealed that Snoke is revealed to be an artificially created humanoid alien created by the resurrected Sheev Palpatine to turn Ben Solo towards the dark side and rule the first order while he built the final order.
7. Commander Bacara executed Jedi General Mundi
Bacara also named CC-113, was a clone trooper official who was given the military rank of clone Marshall Commander, Bacara was known for his aggressive tactics and served as the clone commander of the 21st Nova Corps, the most skilled and elite division in the galaxy, Bacara was coned from the genes of Jango Fett and trained as a soldier in the army for the galactic republic. He was also the one who executed General Mundi when he and the other cloned were given the information from the Palpatine that Order 66 was in effect and were bound to follow the protocols without questioning them.
8. Darman- The Republic Commando
During his service, Darman skirata was also known as RC-1136 when serving for the Galactic Empire. He was a clone commando of the Grand Army of the republic and was also a member of the Theta squad, Omega squad, and Squad 40. He was later adopted by his training sergeant Kal Skirata. Later, he met Jedi padawan Etain Tur-Mukan when he got separated from his squad while on a mission to destroy a bioweapon facility on the planet Qiilura. Darman and Etain later had a child named Venku Skirata.
9. The loyal and fearless- Commander rex
Commander Rex, also known as the clone captain rex worked under Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano. He was a loyal military man and had excellent records. there was no mission that he left uncompleted to that day. His signature weapons were two blaster pistols and his loyalty to the republic and the Jedis was concrete. He made his appearance in the fall of the republic where he was the leader of the 501st legion’s torrent company, CT – 7576.
He later started doubting the republic when he saw countless deaths of clones that could’ve been avoided in the first place and thought that republic saw the clones as an expendable resource rather than real living beings.
10. Palpatine was technically a clone in his last appearance
Everyone knows Emperor Palpatine is one of the greatest villains in the Star Wars Franchise. Although his return was not liked by a lot of fans in The Rise Of Skywalker, as it just simply felt like lazy scriptwriting. Yet Lucasfilm found the laziest way to show how Palpatine came back to life again, i.e. by showing his transferring his spirit in another clone body, yeah we know it sounds absurd but it is what it is.
