Fans Want Stranger Things Star Caleb McLaughlin to Team Up With Tom Holland

Caleb McLaughlin plays the role of Lucas Sinclair in Stranger Things and is shown to be the best friend of Mike Wheeler and Will Byers. Lucas, who is a former player for the Basketball team the Hawkins Tigers, is very good at using Wrist-Rocket slingshot and even tried to save his friends from the Demogorgon with it, albeit with no effect.

Regardless, Lucas’ array of abilities and his persona have made McLaughlin one of the stand-out stars of the show. As such it’s no surprise his fans are starting to envision his next potential role even before he bids farewell to his current project.

An Instagram user/artist @marvels.wolverine shared an art featuring McLaughlin alongside Tom Holland in the imagined poster for Spider-Man 4.

Staying true to the tradition of Spider-Man titles in the comics, the artist used the title The Spectacular Spider-Man on his poster and asked his followers if they’d like to see Miles Morales appear in the next MCU Spider-Man movie. He also enquired about the potential cast for the role.

The positive comments under his art indicate McLaughlin is the overwhelming fan favorite for the role of Miles.

As fans gear up for the third installment of Spider-Verse, titled Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, some overly excited enthusiasts are even hoping to see Miles join hands with Tom Holland in the live-action movie. Some of them have even taken the initiative of nominating their perfect pick (Caleb McLaughlin) for the live-action version.

Spider-Man 4 is guaranteed to hit the theaters, as both Sony and Marvel have suggested Peter Parker (Holland) is set to take forward the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, there’s little information available about the way Spider-Man‘s plot will progress. More importantly, there’s no formal indication that Miles will be part of the movie (let’s see if this fan art, and countless more, makes any difference going forward).

For now, Holland appears to be on an acting break and the plot development is on hold due to the writers’ strike.
