Brad Pitt has had a series of prominent relationships in the past, having been with some of the most beautiful women of Hollywood. None of it has ever worked out though. Currently, he is embroiled in a messy court case with his ex-wife Angelina Jolie. One can imagine there’s quite some stress in his life, and he seems to have found an escape in art. Sculpting is how the Oscar-winning actor seeks a therapeutic release.

What’s important is that, Pitt’s art is actually good. That’s what the critics think. Unlike celebrity art that is superficial and shallow, Pitt’s sculptures have been called “pungent and memorable images of pain and violence”, by The Guardian.

“It’s about, you know, where have I gotten it wrong in my relationships? Where have I misstepped? Where I am complicit? The Se7en actor showcased nine of his works on “self-reflection”, that included a house-shaped sculpture, coffin-sized bronze box with hands, feet and faces breaking through structure. Several hailed the star of the show to be a wall-hanging sculpture titled, ‘Aiming At You I Saw Me But It Was Too Late This Time’ – “a frieze of broken bodies as men shoot each other to bits in a Mexican standoff sculpted like a scene on some ancient sarcophagus”, as described by The Guardian.

Pitt reportedly started using sculpting as a therapeutic practice ever since his messy split with Angelina Jolie.
