Taylor Swift Gives Standing Ovation After Barbie Defeats Her Eras Tour at Golden Globe Awards
This award season is nothing less than a box filled with surprises and turn of events, as last year the entertainment industry was flooded with some of the massive hit projects to astonishingly box office failures. With numerous films being nominated for distinct categories, Margot Robbie‘s summer blockbuster Barbie and Taylor Swift‘s stellar Eras Tour film faced rivalry for the Golden Globe for cinematic and box office achievement.
The award has been secured by Barbie, the movie that hit our nostalgia and took the fans to explore Barbie’s reality in the real world. Director Greta Gerwig was highly praised for her new take on the narrative and breaking the stereotypical Barbie rules. Even though the You Belong With Me hitmaker lost the award to Robbie’s film, her graceful attitude towards the victory won everybody’s heart. After all, she’s our beloved TAYLOR SWIFT!

Barbie is also nominated for an Oscar under the category of Best Adaptation. However, fans have expressed their dissatisfaction for considering the film as adapted while the writers worked hard for a new take on its narrative. Even the WGA considered Gerwig’s Barbie as an original work. However, currently, it’s the Golden Globe Awards where the Look What You Made Me Do singer has gathered love.
Fans Acknowledged Taylor Swift as The Real Barbie
