Taylor Swift cannot be searched on X after AI pictures went viral
One of the horrors that the current generation is facing is the rise of AI and the misuse of artificial intelligence, which was meant to make things easier for human beings. Even Taylor Swift is not spared from these horrors as her obscene pictures generated via AI went viral on social media.
Social media posts and accounts that went ahead to share the fake pictures of the artists were flagged by her fans, who decided to post real pictures of her with the hashtag ‘protect Taylor Swift’. On Friday, X released a statement via BBC after they were alarmed ,
“We have zero-tolerance policy towards such content. Our teams are actively removing all identified images and taking appropriate actions against the accounts responsible for posting them.”
The images that went viral online showcased the artist in various s*xual scenarios at her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs game. It was also reported that Taylor Swift is furious with the situation and might consider taking legal action. A source shared with Page Six,
“Whether or not legal action will be taken is being decided, but there is one thing that is clear; these fake, AI-generated images are abusive, offensive, exploitative and done without Taylor’s consent and/or knowledge. The Twitter account that posted those images does not exist anymore. It is shocking that the social media platform even let them be up to begin with.”
While Taylor Swift has yet to comment on the situation, it has been reported that X has blocked any more searches for Taylor Swift on the platform. It shows an error when someone searches artist’s name on the social media platform. Head of business operations at X, Joe Benarroch noted that this action is temporary and taken with an abundance of caution as they prioritize safety on the current issue.
Taylor Swift to perform at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards?
Recent stressful days after AI-generated pictures of Taylor Swift going viral online will not stop the artist from doing what she does best; singing and performing. According to Hits Daily Double, during the second quarter of the Chiefs vs Ravens game, the CBS announcers quickly noted that Taylor Swift was one of the performers for the 66th Annual Grammy Awards. X account Pop Base also reported that Swift is likely to perform at the ceremony.
However, reports from ET notes that it might not be the case, as the artist will just be attending the award ceremony, which is scheduled to take place on 4th February 2024. As much as everyone would love to see her perform, the reports noted that she would NOT be performing at the Grammy Awards 2024 as she has a quick turnaround before she continues with the rest of her Eras Tour.
Taylor Swift’s album Midnights received six nods at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards and the artist took a moment to express her gratitude towards fans after the nominations. She is nominated for awards including Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, and Best Pop Vocal Album. SZA is the most nominated artist at the Grammys 2024 with nine nods.
The 66th Annual Grammy Awards will air live from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on CBS and Paramount+ on February 4th at 8 p.m. EST.
