Tekashi 6ix9ine Arrested in Dominican Republic After Domestic Violence Incident
Daniel Hernandez, professionally known as Tekashi 6ix9ine, is an American rapper marked by his signature aggressive style of rapping and controversial persona. Notwithstanding his much-discussed rainbow hair and multifaceted tattoos, he has an extensive history of legal issues and public celebrity feuds. He has a can of worms that has led many hip-hop figures and personalities to ostracize him, which in turn led to a severe decline in his reputation.
According to reports, Tekashi 6ix9ine was recently arrested in the Dominican Republic after being accused of a domestic violence incident, and it just adds another feather to his already embellished hat of controversies.
Dominican Officials Have Arrested Tekashi 6ix9ine On Domestic Violence Charges
Authorities in the Dominican Republic have arrested rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine over domestic violence charges, according to reports by The Associated Press. He is currently being held at a jail in the capital, Santo Domingo, where he was arrested on Wednesday.

Not much detail is available about the situation since it is not clear whether he has an attorney or not. As per The Associated Press, a judge will decide at the hearing whether he will remain in jail or be freed on bond.

Tekashi 6ix9ine And His History Of Altercation With Law
As per The Associated Press, Tekashi 6ix9ine was arrested last year in October for assaulting a record producer in the Dominican Republic after he and his collaborator, Dominican rapper Yailín la Más Viral, had been working with her. The current status of the case remains unclear. He was also arrested in Palm Beach, Florida, after failing to appear in court for three traffic citations. The judge issued a warrant against him.
It does not end there. In 2018, Tekashi 6ix9ine was also charged with assaulting a minor and was sentenced to 4 years of probation by the judge. He was first taken into custody in 2015 for the use of a child in a s**ual performance. According to the mother of the victim’s complaint that was obtained by Billboard, it alleged that her 13-year-old daughter was filmed “having s**ual contact with two adult males.” Tekashi 6ix9ine pleaded guilty to three felony counts in which he allegedly “stood behind the child making a thrusting motion with his pelvis and smacking her on her b***ocks.”
In 2018, he and his associates were charged with federal racketeering and firearms charges. In February 2019, Tekashi 6ix9ine finally pleaded guilty to nine charges in the case, including charges of racketeering conspiracy, multiple firearms offenses, narcotics trafficking, and more. At the time, he faced at least 47 years in prison. He agreed to work with the federal officers for a reduced sentence, and he was sentenced to two years. However, he served the last few months of his sentence at his home due to being a “model prisoner.”
