2024 turned out to be a little dry for fans of Marvel movies considering there has been just 1 release so far. On the series front, the live-action TV series Echo and Agatha All Along premiered in January and September respectively, and the animated series X-Men ’97 premiered in March. On the other hand, 2025 has 7 streaming series and 2 movies lined up for release.

Marvel seems to be on a high after this year’s successful releases even though it took quite some time to come around. Kevin Feige has been a man on a mission to make sure that the studio keeps flourishing and ruling the superhero front of cinema. The powerhouse lineup for next year proves the point as April, September, and November will be the only months to have no Marvel movie or show releases.

2025 will open with Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man swinging onto the screens on January 25. The animated series will reimagine the lore with Norman Osborn taking up the role of the web-slinger’s mentor as he navigates his personal life alongside his responsibilities as a young superhero.

The fourth installment of the Captain America film series, Captain America: Brave New World is scheduled for release on February 14, and will be the first film featuring Anthony Mackie as the new Captain. March will welcome back Daredevil to the Marvel universe with Daredevil Born Again.

The antihero team-up movie, Thunderbolts*, featuring the likes of Bucky Barnes and Yelena Belova, is scheduled for release on May 2. Ironheart will debut on Disney+ in June 2025 and will follow Dominique Thorne’s Riri Williams/Ironheart who made her debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

The highly anticipated movie, The Fantastic 4: First Steps will be in theatres from July 25. Eyes of Wakanda series will debut on Aug 6, 2025, on Disney+. Marvel Zombies will be out in October just in time for Halloween, and Wonder Man will be joining the roster in December next year. A teaser (via Marvel) has also been released to give a look into what is awaiting fans next year.

Fans are undoubtedly in for a treat next year. This is perhaps the studio’s largest streaming calendar to date with 7 shows debuting on Disney+. Each series has a different target audience with the narrative remaining interconnected. The mix of established characters with new faces is certainly quite intriguing for the audience.

While fans are quite excited about what is heading their way in the upcoming year, some are also a little skeptical regarding the fact that too much content might mean poor quality. Here is what some of them have to say:

It remains to be seen whether or not the studio will be successful in maintaining its reputation with all these projects which emphasize varied storytelling styles, from street-level drama to cosmic adventures.

This certainly showcases the studio’s ability to adapt its properties across different genres and formats. That said, this year will be closing out with the third season of the reality-bending animated series, What If…? scheduled to be released on December 22.
