Kate Middleton showed up at Wimbledon on July 14, 2024. The crowd was excited to see her, and they gave her a warm welcome. But what really caught everyone’s attention was how Princess Charlotte reacted to all the love her mother was getting.

The whole crowd at the All England Club gave her a standing ovation and started clapping for her. Usually, Middleton would just walk to her seat in the Royal Box. But this time, she stood there for a while acknowledging all the applause and support from the crowd.

But the best part was Princess Charlotte’s reaction to all of this. People noticed that the young princess looked proud of her mom. It appeared as if Charlotte was also overwhelmed to see everyone’s love and support for her mother. Netizens noticed the moment and expressed their heartfelt feelings on social media.

After the men’s singles final match, Middleton did her job as patron of the All England Club. She presented the trophy to Carlos Alcaraz and congratulated him for his win. It was the second time she had given him the trophy, as he had won in 2023 as well.

The Princess of Wales shook hands with ball boys and girls later. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the runner-up of the match, Novak Djokovic, also acknowledged her presence in the post-match conference, offered his well wishes, and mentioned the importance of her well-being for the country as well as Wimbledon.

Middleton’s cancer diagnosis was a shock for everyone. She had an abdominal surgery in January 2024, and that was when doctors found out about the cancer. Since then, she has been getting chemotherapy as her treatment.

In a video message on Instagram, Middleton talked about how shocking it was for her and her family and how she was handling it privately, thinking about her children. However, she approached the situation positively and made sure to make her children feel secure. She said,

Most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be OK.

Middleton last gave an update on her Instagram video that she is making good progress but still has a few more months of treatment to go. She’s learning to be patient and take each day as it comes. Kate said,

I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty. Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much needed time to heal.

Though there will be challenges, Middleton is keeping a positive attitude about everything. She is waiting to get back to work as soon as possible, but at the same time, she wants to focus on her treatment. But the love and support she got at Wimbledon shows that she is not fighting the battle alone.
