Following Rihanna’s recent super Bowl performance, Olivia Wilde had something to say about the singer’s boyfriend, ASAP Rocky. A video of the rapper was shared online where he could be seen supporting his partner’s performance. Wilde took to her Instagram stories and posted the clip. But what did not sit right with the netizens was what she wrote along it. People did not like the way she called Rocky “hot”. Moreover, she also tagged the partners. Immediately after the swarm of backlash, she deleted the Instagram story. However, Wilde defended herself by addressing the backlash.
Olivia Wilde Faces Backlash For Calling A$AP Rocky Hot
As many will know by now, Rihanna is pregnant with her second child. The singer indirectly announced the news while performing on the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show recently. Apart from her headline-making performance, the singer’s partner A$AP Rocky is making the rounds on the internet. A clip of the rapper lovingly supporting Rihanna from the audience area is melting people’s hearts. And soon after, Olivia Wilde shared the video on her Instagram stories. But what she wrote along the clip resulted in a big backlash from fans. She had written,
“If I thought he was hot before, this really put me over the edge”
Soon after, fans started calling her out for “shamelessly” calling Rocky hot and then tagging the couple. One user criticized it by tweeting, “this is so inappropriate”. While another said,
“the way she’s saying this with her whole chest and tagging both of them… it’s embarrassing,”
The swarm of backlash led to Wilde deleting her post. However, she did defend herself saying how the rapper showing his support for his girlfriend was hot. According to her, the post had been harmless and her followers were the ones who “twisted” the whole thing.

Currently, Olivia Wilde is single and available, after splitting from Harry Styles last November. The ex-couple had started dating about two years ago. They met on the sets of Wilde’s 2022 film Don’t Worry Darling. The movie was directed by Wilde and is a thriller mystery set in the 1950s. But the relationship ultimately came to an end largely due to conflicting schedules. According to Page Six, an insider informed that while Wilde had to be home for her children, Styles was busy with his musical tours. This came in between them and led to the ex-couple ending the relationship. The actress has two kids, Otis and Daisy, from her previous partner Jason Sudeikis.
