Travis Kelce is stealing hearts, and not just his girlfriend’s. He began making headlines last year when he admitted he wanted to pass his number to Taylor Swift, on a friendship bracelet no less, during one of her concerts at the Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas. He might not have been successful, but he effectively managed to get the pop star’s attention.
Months later, Swift was spotted cheering the Kansas City Chiefs at their match against the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium and was seen leaving the building with Kelce. That was the first of their many public sightings together over the next few months. They have not exactly been private about their romance and Kelce’s recent comments prove that he is not afraid of the public scrutiny that comes with their not-so-private adventures.

Travis Kelce has been no stranger to attention and media scrutiny since he began playing as the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2013 and has won three Super Bowl Games so far- Super Bowl LIV, LVII, and LVIII. Considered one of the greatest tight ends of all time, he also hosts the podcast New Heights with his brother Jason Kelce and discusses a range of topics from football to pop culture.
After Taylor Swift‘s long-term relationship with Joe Alwyn ended in 2023, she dated Matty Healy for a couple of months. Unfortunately, that relationship did not last long and they broke up soon. However, she did not have to stay heartbroken for too long because Kelce came waltzing into her life and has not left her side since.
Recently, the NFL star appeared on the Bussin’ With the Boys podcast and opened up about dating Swift. He claimed that he is not too bothered about keeping it all private.
You wanna keep things private, but at the same time, I’m not here to, like, hide anything. That’s my girl. You know what I mean? That’s my lady, so it’s, like, I’m proud of that. I’m not sitting here trying to juggle, like, ‘How can I keep this under wraps?’
He further explained his perspective saying that it does not mean that they are going to let everyone know about their personal life and comment on it since he understands that everything she does becomes a headline.

Swift’s relationship with ex-partner Joe Alwyn was notoriously private, and they did not hesitate to say that aloud in interviews and other such events. Although the Gorgeous singer was just as invested in keeping it private as Alwyn, long before she began dating him, she admitted that having private relationships was not her thing.
While promoting her break-up anthem We Are Never Getting Back Together, released in 2012, in an interview with Alan Carr on his chat show Alan Carr: Chatty Man, she candidly spoke about her stance on private relationships.
To me, it all depends on who you’re with. If they have a serious issue with it then you, I guess, hide or whatever but I don’t really like that. Because it makes me feel like I’m running from the law or something. I don’t want to feel like I’m a fugitive, like, ‘Oh my God, we’re having a relationship! Better put on a mask and stuff!’
It has to be noted that it was much before she began dating the Normal People star and a lot of things might have changed in all those years in between. Even so, dating Kelce who is not too shy to admit his feelings about his girlfriend and shows up for her as much as he can must be very exciting for her. Who knows, maybe he is the one she has been waiting for.
