The Bear: The Marvel Cameo You May Have Missed in Season 3 Finale
The Bear is the talk of the town these days. With its emotionally charged scenes and volatile storytelling, it has emerged as one of the most engaging TV shows recently. The third season of the series dropped recently, and fans are still reeling from all they have witnessed.
The major focus of the show remains Carmen ‘Carmy’ Berzatto, who inherited his family’s restaurant in Chicago after the passing of his older brother Michael ‘Mikey’ Berzatto and often struggles to keep his calm. Viewers caught a glimpse of his struggle even in the final episode of Season 3. There is something else – a cameo, A Marvel cameo no less – in this season that some might have missed.
The Marvel Cameo That Viewers Might Have Missed in The Bear Season 3 Finale
The Bear, created by Christopher Storer, is a show that primarily chronicles the lives of the chefs and other employees who work at the namesake restaurant and navigate through the chaotic and high-pressure environment of the diner.
Jeremy Allen White stars as Carmy, Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Abby Elliott, and Matty Matheson play Sydney, Richie, Marcus, Tina, Natalie, and Neil respectively. There are also numerous recurring characters in the show.
There are also numerous cameos in the show. In the finale of the new season Forever, Carmy attends the ‘funeral’ of the fine dining Michelin-starred restaurant, Ever, run by Olivia Colman’s Chef Andrea Terry.
At the beginning of the episode, Carmy is seen looking at a collage of pictures of numerous chefs who have worked at Ever. His friend Luca (Will Poulter) also joins him there. What is worth noting here is one of the chefs in those pictures is the Marvel star, Bradley Cooper.
Precisely speaking, the chef seen in the picture is Cooper’s two-star Michelin chef Adam Jones from the lesser-known 2015 comedy-drama film Burnt. Whether it is just a cameo or is going to turn into a crossover between the two universes is yet to be seen, but it is something worth noting.
The Bear Is Hulu’s Biggest Scripted TV Premiere Ever
The Bear is labeled a comedy-drama series. However, that has been debatable since the first season of the show premiered in 2022. The last awards season saw the show and its cast win numerous accolades, including 10 Primetime Emmys and 4 Golden Globes.
Recently, Variety reported that according to Disney, the Season 3 premiere has reached 5.4 million views in its first four days of streaming. Not only has this marked the best performance ever for an FX premiere on Hulu, but was also the most-watched season premiere for any scripted series on the streaming service.
Disney has claimed that Hulu being on the streamer Disney+ has helped the show’s large viewership as the 5.4 million views account for the views across the platforms.
The Bear is available for streaming on Hulu and Disney+.
