The Boys: New Base Is a BIG F-U to Homelander
The third season of The Boys will provide its protagonists an all-new lair that will be decked out in a really unusual furnishing: numerous Homelander photos.
While appearing in a Vanity Fair trailer recap, the stars of The Boys Karen Fukuhara (Kimiko), Laz Alonso (Mother’s Milk), and Antony Starr, who plays the antagonist Homelander, opened up about the significance of a scene in the trailer for the third season, even featuring a Homelander magazine which is used as a dartboard for target practice.
The Boys Stars Talk About The ‘New Lair’
Alonso described the location as, “Our office, our new headquarters, cause the Boys to get new headquarters this season” before revealing how much Homelander memorabilia that set had adorned. “There was a Homelander face literally on every single wall, pole, door, post-it pads, anywhere you looked… coffee machine. It was literally a Homelander Fest,” he said.

Earlier, Fukuhara had teased Starr for the amount of input he had in dispersing his visage across the whole set. “So I think we have a photo of one of your Homelander posters with, like, a dart on either the eyeball or, like, somewhere down there,” she explained, with the conversation hinting that the dart was obviously placed at an inappropriate place.
The Opening Scene Is The ‘CRAZIEST’ Opening Sequence EVER!
While appearing in a recent interview with SFX Magazine (via Gamesradar), showrunner Kripke discussed the opening scene of The Boys season 3, teasing that the first 15 minutes will be the craziest sequence as much as any show ever before. He also explained the whole process of putting the scenes together like that.
Read what he said below:
“One tease I can say is, in the first 15 minutes of episode one we have not just the craziest sequence we have ever done, but the craziest sequence pretty much anybody has ever done. It’s so jaw-droppingly insane. It’s so much fun. It’s the best job I have ever had, to think about this stuff. It’s always the frosting on the cake…If we are spending three weeks to break an episode, we spend two-and-a-half banging down on character, plot and emotion. Then, only when all the painful work is done, we take a break – it’s almost like a wine spritzer – and take a couple of days to say, ‘Now, let’s all think of the craziest sh-t we can to lay in on top of the hard work we had already done.'”
When Will The Boys Season 3 Release?
Apart from season 3, Prime Video also released The Boys Presents: Diabolical back in March, which is an animated anthology series set within The Boys universe, however, there will be a few episodes considered canon.
The Boys Season 3 will premiere on Prime Video starting June 3.
