The Flash will mark Andy Muschietti’s official entry into the superhero genre, but it may only be the start of the director’s career in the field of comic book adaptations, as he may soon be in charge of bringing Batman back to the big screen. The next Batman: The Brave and The Bold film from DC Studios reveals the involvement of filmmaker Andy Muschietti.

The Flash director is reportedly in charge of the Batman remake for the DC Universe, even though no actor has been cast as the Caped Crusader. Muschietti was recently asked explicitly in an interview with Narcity Canada what he would do if given the opportunity to helm his own Batman movie while deftly making reference to the recent rumor.

In the upcoming DC movie The Brave and the Bold, Batman’s connection with his son Damian Wayne and how they work as a team will be highlighted. The film is supposedly being directed by Andy Muschietti and will be a part of James Gunn’s new DC Universe.

What We Know About Batman: The Brave and the Bold So Far?

The Brave and The Bold, a project about which little is known, would supposedly feature Batman and his controversial son Damien Wayne, who is his latest Robin. Since the controversial 1997 movie Batman & Robin, we have not seen a live-action Robin. If Andy Muschietti is selected to serve as the film’s director, he will face the challenging task of revitalizing the legendary sidekick after all these years.

The movie will also serve as the “introduction of the DCU Batman,” which, based on Pattinson’s previous performances, we assume means a very different Batman. The Grant Morrison run of Batman comics, in which Batman found a son he was unaware he had, is supposed to have served as inspiration for the film.

The Batman‘s sequel will be in cinemas on 3 October 2025. No word on a date for The Brave And The Bold, but we can’t imagine it’ll be before 2026.
