DCEU’s The Flash has a rare “partially n*de scene” film scene, thus making it a PG-13-rated superhero movie. The necessity of the inclusion of such a scene has been explained by director Andy Muschietti recently.  And the reason seems to be simple and practical in terms of the story at least. Unfortunately, it has not helped the movie’s box-office performance in any way.

Most people have questioned the strange VFX effect that appears to be incomplete at the starting scene. Adding to that Ezra Miller’s problematic problems these past years seem to be the reason behind the lukewarm reception.

Very few of the movies in the DCEU projects have included a scene where n*dity has been involved ever. This makes the recently released The Flash starring Ezra Miller the first to include one, albeit, it is a “partially n*de” scene. Naturally, the question arises as to the requirement of such a scene.

To this, director Andy Muschietti has a good explanation as he opened up recently. Talking with Movie Maker, he explained,

“It’s part of the story, there’s no intention to show our hero [undressed],”

This seems to mean the scene was practical in terms of what was happening at the time of the story. Initially, when Barry Allen/The Flash is new to his powers, he ends up creating confusion and amid that burns up all of that he is wearing.

And as Muschietti said he does not mind n*de scenes, therefore showing the speedster in his real situation made sense and is practical.

Despite all the hype and the inclusion of a n*de scene, The Flash received a lukewarm response at the box office. On the domestic front, it managed to collect only 55 million dollars which is much less than Black Adam which made 65 million dollars. And the latter was considered a flop which means DCEU’s latest has not had any great impression on movie-goers as far as it can be seen.

Directed by Andy Muschietti, The Flash starring Ezra Miller is based on the flashpoint storyline. The Scarlet Speedster/ Barry Allen tries to go back in time to save his mother. But in doing so, he creates a multiverse of chaos which brings in many evil characters on his way.

The main antagonist is the dark Flash and apart from him, a constant roadblock for Allen is General Zod (Michael Shannon) and his followers.
