Shocking news hit the global audience, that ‘The Flash’ might soon be without a star. To confirm this we have the news reports from the THR stating that Ezra Miller has decided to rewrite the script. He will be rewriting the script for this solo speedster flick with the help of legendary comic writer Grant Morrison.

Ezra Miller To Step Down As ‘The Flash’

But, if the studio chooses to skip over the Miller-Morrison script and favour the directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, it is said that Ezra Miller will step down from the role of The Flash

Reports showed that the Miller-Morrison script has a darker tone than the script offered by Daley-Goldstein. It is said that Miller has an uphill battle in his quest after Warner Brothers, as they are aiming for a light-hearted toned movie. This can be seen in both Aquaman, a billion dollar movie for the studio and Shazam (the David F. Sandberg led flick that’s been a smash with critics).

The Flash is a movie which is based on the scarlet speedster, had a particularly slow time making it to theatres. Ezra Miller has been hooked to the role of Barry Allen, ever since Zack Snyder casted him for a cameo in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. Since then, this movie has failed to gain any footing at Warner Brothers. It’s featured a rotating cast of directors before finally settling on Daley and Goldstein now over a year ago.

Ezra Millers Statement

Just last month, Miller was approached about the film’s delay in an international press stop for his latest Fantastic Beasts film. Then he mentioned that the crew behind the flick was being very meticulous as they moved forward with the property.

In that interview Miller said:

“Anyone who knows anything about Barry Allen knows that he’s always late. But then when he arrives, he gets stuff done. And that’s definitely how this film’s production schedule is proceeding. We’re a little late.”

He also added:

“But the reason why we are late, and this is the honest to god truth… We’re all — and I include myself in this — we are very meticulously focused on making a movie that’s not just one of the greatest superhero movies that we can possibly make. This movie’s also going to be a gift to the fans.”

For now, all we can do is wait and hope for the best!
