“The greatest Beast ever”: Kelsey Grammer Opens Up About His Return as the Iconic X-Men Character in Brie Larson’s The Marvels
Acclaimed actor Kelsey Grammer is known for portraying his iconic X-Men character Beast from the 20th Century Fox movies. The actor has recently expressed the gratitude and excitement he had while playing Beast.
Dr. Henry McCoy aka Beast was created by iconic writer Stan Lee and the character was first portrayed on screen by Kelsey Grammer in the 2006 movie X-Men: Last Stand and recently shared in an interview his incredible journey in the superhero world.
Kelsey Grammer Talks About His Beast in The Marvels
We saw Kelsey Grammer‘s Beast in The Marvels post-credits scene which undeniably became a memorable part of the movie. Despite the criticism that Brie Larson‘s movie has received, Grammer’s brief portrayal of Beast turned out to be a surprise and a notable experience for Marvel fans.
In a previous interview with The Wrap, when fans speculated that Dr. Henry McCoy aka Beast will appear in The Marvels, the Jesus Revolution star said:
“It is my hope that you will [see him again]. I can say with a certain amount of confidence that you will. I would love to. [I was] very pleased [by the response of the recent cameo]. A lot of people got in touch [with him] I’ve always wanted to play him again. I see him as an extraordinary character, a real character of gravitas and importance in our culture. I’m delighted Beast is back and hope he’s back in a real way.”
And finally, after we all have witnessed him in the iconic role despite being a brief appearance, Grammer said in an interview with ET that:
“It’s a great feather in my cap now to have him come back and have people still be interested in seeing who was arguably the greatest Beast ever.”
The High Expectations star mentioned being thrilled to have come back and expressed his passion for Beast. Kelsey Grammer also mentioned that there have been discussions about his character’s future.
Will Kelsey Grammer Appear in The MCU as Beast?
Well, this is something Marvel might know better as there haven’t been any official reports discussing Beast’s involvement in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but his cameo has indeed raised questions if he’s going to make it to the superhero world.
Fans love Beast in his blue fur, feline-like facial features, and large hands and feet which makes him the iconic character. Even The Marvels didn’t answer what will happen to Beast, but a possibility can be in Deadpool 3 since it is said to be tapping into the multiverse. However, this is just the possibility we are speculating and there are no official statements from Marvel or even Deadpool 3 makers about whether Kelsey Grammer’s Dr. Henry McCoy is returning as Beast or not.
