We might be shocked as to why he continues to direct films despite having a comfortable lifestyle and a lot of money. The truth is that Eastwood simply loves being a part of the movie industry. Eastwood is distinct from other actors who slow down or retire in their 60s or 70s. He continues on, demonstrating to us all that getting older need not be a barrier to doing what you love.

He announced his retirement in 2008, but guess what? He returned and was back in action in Trouble with the Curve. Clint Eastwood additionally directed several amazing films, including Mystic River, which is regarded as one of his best, and Million Dollar Baby, which received an Oscar for Best Picture. Therefore, when these two big names teamed up for the 2019 film Richard Jewell, Jon Hamm couldn’t help but gush about Clint Eastwood. He was described as a legend and an inspiration by Hamm, and it is clear why. Hamm said at the film’s premiere via Far Out, “He’s a legend. The guy has worked for 60 years in the movie industry, if not longer. I don’t know what to say about him other than he’s an inspiration and he’s incredibly talented.”

Hamm gushed about Eastwood’s directing approach, describing it as “Pretty loose and active and smart and funny and efficient.” Hamm thought his directing style was unique and smart and he enjoyed working with him. Who can blame Jon Hamm for having a great deal of admiration for Clint Eastwood? The man’s a Hollywood legend for a reason after all!
