Brittney Griner has acknowledged that it was a genuine error on her part to have packed the cannabis oil cartridges without paying heed to it. Her attorneys have produced the prescription for the cannabis oil she was given to relieve her discomfort. On August 4th, 2022, once the trial was over, she was given a 9-year prison term. A prisoner exchange between the USA and Russia is conceivable. According to recent reports, US President Joe Biden has pledged that his team is making every effort to repatriate Brittney Griner.

The host of The Joe Rogan Experience was recording a podcast with comedian Andrew Schulz. When the topic of Kamala Harris and Brittney Griner came up, he stated
“That’s why the hypocrisy about the Brittney Griner situation was so egregious in this country.”“Where Kamala Harris is talking about how horrible it is that Brittney Griner is in jail. Well, you put people in jail. You did. Thousands of people in jail for marijuana. Yeah, it’s crazy.”
Joe Rogan continued. This was obviously referencing the fact of how many people are currently serving a sentence in prisons due to the possession of marijuana when it was still an illegal drug to keep on a person without a proper prescription.

“How come you guys didn’t exonerate people that were in jail for marijuana when you said you were going to? They said that they were going to make marijuana federally legal. They said they were going to exonerate prisoners who were in jail for non-violent drug offenses. This is what they said. None of that has happened.”
Clearly, Joe Rogan has nothing against the WNBA star, Brittney Griner, the host is just shining a light on a much larger concern that can finally be in the spotlight after having one celebrity go through the same injustice as thousands of others are still facing today.
