It’s true! I am Dancepool in the new Deadpool & Wolverine. This secret has been so hard to keep! I cannot believe I have the honor of being Ryan Reynolds’ dance double for the opening scene of the entire movie! Like what? What is life?
The dancer went on to thank the Canadian actor and director, Shawn Levy, for making him feel at home. He added that they encouraged him and thanked them for bringing him on board for the movie, which turned out to give him a purpose. Pauley also thanked his agent for submitting him for the role.

Wesley Snipes talks about reprising Blade in Deadpool & Wolverine
At the Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2024, Ryan Reynolds introduced the celebrities who would be making an appearance on Deadpool & Wolverine. One of those names was Wesley Snipes for Blade. The actor played the character in the original 1998 Blade movie, and during an interview with EW, he shared how he reached the sets of Deadpool & Wolverine. He said,
Over the years, we’ve had very interesting conversations, some of them very substantive and some of them not. So I kind of resided that I was moving on from them, which is okay. I did three of them, and I thought they turned out pretty good. Not so bad. So we move on to other things, and bigger and better things as well.
But the actor mentioned that he received a text from Reynolds about wanting to talk to him. Snipes mentioned that he did not think it was possible or they would be able to pull it off. He added that he did not think that Marvel was into that idea also because they have Mahershala Ali cast as Blade for the reboot. He noted,
I thought it didn’t make sense to me, but when you get a call from Ryan Reynolds out of the blue after 20 years, you go, ‘Okay, I got to take this call. Let’s see what this is about. He told me the idea. ‘They said ‘yes’ and ‘it’s a go’. If you’re in, we’re in’. Here we are.
Ryan Reynolds appeared in Blade: Trinity with Wesley Snipes almost 20 years ago. Snipes’ announcement as Blade had the loudest cheer in Hall H, and fans were very excited to see the actor back on screen. Ryan Reynolds is a legend, isn’t he?
Deadpool & Wolverine is playing in theaters.
